Biological functions cease, lose consciousness. Then other people have to do something with your remains generally and hold a funeral to help them cope with the grief. I don't know what specifically do you want to know it's a broad question?

Same thing before you were born.

Why must we have this easy as fuck question every day

Crazy shit that's as forign to us as our perception of death is to our ancestors.

Maybe an endless trip into your mind where time streches forward forever and you live infinate lives in a timeloop

idk, why don't you kill yourself then tell us

Whatever we built in this life gets left behind, some are forgotten quickly, some are remembered thousands of years on.

Why does it matter to be rememebered when you're dead and can't gain anything from it?

I'd like to think our consciousness persists and continues somewhere else, now freed from its body. Basically reincarnation.

You get judged by allah on if you're a good person or not.

You stop being alive.

Your body never wakes up, and what people knew as you on this earth will never know you again - you're totally gone from here.

But you as you experience yourself now will feel a continuity - after the painful separation from your body - the soul will enter in his rights, in his domain - your whole life and memories will appear vivid and very clear, you will be aware of every single moment of life and understand the power of decisions that you took while in the body vessel, you will feel a huge nostalgia for righteousness and virtues, especially if you did not develop any.

In the domain of soul as a pagan - or a non purified Christian you will be taken by demons - in the realm of shadows or hell, according to your life on earth there are various works there - but if you were a virtuous pagan, you will be placed in a neutral spot in hell, there's no Divine presence - but there are is nor work of any kind ( this is not purgatory just a region of hell ).

If indeed you were virtuous and purified yourself before death, confessed and got your sins removed - angels will come and take you towards throne of God, in that journey you will go trough aerial toll-houses of demons, 24 in total - there your life will be judged by demons, they will try to justifity trough your recorded life why you're not worthy of eternal life.

The teachings about after life - were written down by saints, that had them as direct revelations, experienced them - there are many records of it - it's basically fact in orthodox church so to speak.

Throughout your life, you grow and develop, but the matter that makes you keeps getting replaced. New molecules come, old molecules leave. New cells develop, formed from the matter that you eat and consume, old cells die. The only thing that makes you you is the information in the cells that that tells the new cells that form how to behave and what to do to keep your body the way it is. When you die, that information is lost. New molecules don't come in. New cells don't develop. You stop being you. Good enough answer?

Are you suggesting that people die when they are killed? Madness!

The goddess of the moon snatches your soul away from your body and slowly consumes your spiritual essence until you finally cease to exist altogether.

Because no one wants to be forgotten I guess...

No

In the lingering moments before you die your body releases DMT. The same drug that makes you dream. The same drug found in every living animal. It's not an evolutionary trick to make you survive. Your body is choosing to release this drug now because it believes your fate is too grim for you to comprehend. So you dream. You dream that everything will be fine. You dream that nothing happened. It's in this moment that your body sits across from you. It tells you 'looks like we're not gonna make it this time.' It shares a cigarette with you as you recollect the past before soon parting ways back to the atomic ether. Your body does this because it loves you. You have never met anyone like your body. Your body has been with you everyday, good and bad. It's even kept a journal of your life carved in scars. Your eyelashes always wiped the tears from your eyes.

>what happens after things stop happening

The world keeps turning. Your consciousness vanishes into nothingness however.

Chances are most people here are going to die from cancer at some point in their lives anyway. The older you get the greater the chance for your cells to degenerate and kill you at some point. In that regard, you'd likely be on heavy pain medication on your final days anyway and you won't even notice or care that you're actually going to die.
