The meme shoe of 2018 will be something that is only just emerging now in small subcultures and will eventually grow in popularity until designers capitalize on it. Things like ugly shoes or sock runners have been hyped for years now. Just look at Ozweegos which spawned the ugly shoe wave that is currently ongoing.
That being said, I'm betting on normal looking shoes in ugly or obscene colorways, like clear, reflective silver, neon pink, etc. to be the meme of 2018.

Over the last month plenty of big houses have shown their own autism shoe on the runway. Ozweegos are still popular, but rather niche as well. I see some people wearing old Skechers, but for normies that would be too weird. So in a couple of months time people rich enough will buy the expensive ones made by luxury houses, and normies will probably be buying something a bit toned down made by Nike and adidas. Come to think of it, perhaps this is another big chance for Reebok to really bring back some old Pump models.
