Where Were You in 2007, Compared to Now?

Where were you, in terms of your dress sense, around ten years ago in 2007, compared to now? How did your dress sense change over the years, to what your style is mostly represented as in 2017? Have you largely remained the same, with some modifications, or did you drastically change your general look once or twice, maybe more times? What was most likely to be changed by you, the haircut and hairstyle, or your clothing style? What do you think of the general state of late 2000s fashions (whether high-fashion or normal-wear stuff), compared to 2017, the beginning of the late 2010s? Below are examples of what was considered fashionable in 2007, for guys' haircuts:

So a weird mix of faggot bieber bowlcuts and shitty greasy fuccboi spiky hair ?

its as bad as the ss wannabe nazi trend nowadays.

why dont we just make buzzcuts the new hair trend for males?

My mother was too poor to get anything other than Goodwill or Kirkland.

2007 was a little before Justin Bieber got famous, though. That kind of hair was what I had during most of the 2000s, but I often go for a bit shorter equivalent of the look, this decade. To be honest, I've basically "grandfathered" the style by this point. I'm under the impression it's not really a fashionable hairstyle for guys in their late 20s, currently, and my generation was around 2009-2011 under the impression that Bieber killed the hairstyle as a normal guy's fashion, without being associated with Bieber. Now that the whole Bieber association cooled off, I think we might see more young guys going for those types of shaggy medium-length hairstyles, although mostly teens and early 20s guys.

wasn't born

I have a hairstyle similar to the OP pic. I don't really know about who the actor is, though, and he wasn't my influence for the style back then, either. I just do my own thing, and wear my hair down the forehead, somewhat longish-medium length, like the picture.

In 2007 the entirety of my "wardrobe" probably cost less than $150, including shoes.

I wasn't into fashion back then, but starting getting more interested in that around 2009-2010.

That hairstyle isn't very common around where I am, anymore. It's mostly shorter. neater-parted hair. I think it's due to come back, in enough time.

then
>be 9
>go to shitty private school
>bowl cut, ugly square wire frame glasses, white polo, black cords, black oxfords
>wear whatever my mom bought me when i wasn't wearing uniform, mostly j crew and nordstrom prep shit
>cute kid, bright/smart, had friends

now
>be 19
>go to shitty public university
>longish middlepart, round wire frame glasses, uniqlo turtlenecks/thick sweaters, dickies, AF1 and gazelles
>ugly, alone, stupid, failing ochem and depressed

i want to go back Veeky Forums

wasnt into fashion since I was 11 but had hair spiked in the front and wore aeropostale, basic mexican kid apparel.

That seemed to be a common look. Did that style originate mostly with Daniel Craig as James Bond in Casino Royale, or was it around a few years before that?

>be 17 in 2007
>head to toe in famous stars and straps...

shapeups and af1s

I was 11 in 2007. Head to toe in Diamond Supply Co, Supreme Camp Caps, and Nike SB sneakers

posting on Hypebeast forums buying and flipping Vans

>be me in 2007
>11 yo kid
>lots of friends, doing dumbass shit all day
>school's a breeze, i don't even have to study
>parents love me and are proud of me
>no pressure about anything except dumb shit like kissing a girl first in your group of friends
>summers of being a retard with friends doing nothing, just wandering about my small town trying to find something to keep us entertained

...I was happier then.

>be 9 in 07
>wore whatever kid shit was around them
>had long hair then, still do now
On the 2010's thing, I went through a scene phase and now I dress more goth and mature. I do miss being 9 though.

>2007
>entering freshman year of college
>Coming straight outta MySpace
>looking like this

LOVE ME, /fa. :(

post boigucci?

>goth and mature
kek

2007 :
>Did not care the slightest bit about clothes

2010 :
>Literal teenage fashion victim
>Dressed by the trends
>Would buy whatever was in to try and fit in
>Mostly wore Abercrombie and Sentier brands (those were all the rage in wealthy Parisian neighbourhoods).

2017 :
>Learnt a lot about style & fashion in 4/5 years
>Got into actual designers
>There's still a long way to go but at least I have built a stye that I like and that is somewhat original

Same

I was kinda the same, but wasn't as much of a fashion victim, ever. I take in new elements more slowly, but carefully.
