The last "original" thing I saw on Veeky Forums was sleazecore a while ago. I thought it was goofy, but hey.
Retro-Grand prix. I like it. Most comfy sport.
Ultra minimalist-core
Anyone like the prep style anymore?
vintage autosport prep.
needs a nice name for it
I've had a vague idea of a raygun gothic/mori style floating around in my head for a few years, but I don't know where I could get inspo pics for it. The general idea is "people in a good and shiny future trying to get back to nature" or even "space Boy Scout camping trip." Speaking in terms of this board, I suppose it would pull from lunarcore and milspo threads.
I've been trying to make this a thing for ages.
>Romeo-core (Alternatively Capuleticore)
>Gaudy, for the most part. Bright colors that stand out among crowds, almost clownish. Religious imagery and "elegant" patterns. Lots of silver/gold (so Zef).

norkcore
like normcore but 1000x stuffier; evokes doctors office waiting rooms, bored silence, and sitting in traffic
Pornstar core
microgenre offshoot of sleezecore
gestures:
lifting both hands up and making a frame with your thumbs and index fingers, then closing one eye and looking through the frame saying "aw yea, work it, etc."
touching things in general and making "shhhhhing" sounds like your squeezing the biggest pair of your life
clothes:
preferably none but in general normal clothing with odd accoutrement, shirts unbuttoned down to the belly, tattoos with favorite pornwebsite on arm for full visibility, muscles

Condoms, generic viagra, cocaine

this what I wear summer for my clown/jester/fool core. Bright colors and winter I do same just with layers and sweaters like this.
hermetic-core: flowing silhouettes, big emphasis on embroidery and secret society-type graphics (religious or otherwise). either very neutral or colorful and mural-like. text patterns in dead languages. large hoods on even lightweight outerwear
Church-core: A clothing style inspired from clothes that you would wear when going to church.
Where would you start with that?
Steven Anderson (love him or hate him) is great inspo fo church-core
Kent Hovind is aesthetic AH (as heck) in his dope church-core suit.
Church-core is for the ladies too.
Just another woman to balance it out
His guitarist is cooler then he is really
No. Church core is trash.
Only fashion idea I ever got was something to do with wide ass sleeves that end hugging the wrist, making it look like wings of some sort. Maybe add feathers or triangular patterns.

Good stuff, bad names.
Why not Gothprep? Darkprep sounds like the name of a terrible OC anime character you'd find on Deviantart
prixcore. Nice.
There was a thread on here about Japanese street racing culture a while back, or that might've been on Veeky Forums, I've been going there a bit too so I'm foggy.
So basically dressing like a background character in a tv show?
>Why not Gothprep? Darkprep sounds like the name of a terrible OC anime character you'd find on Deviantart
user I completely agree and like this coinage of yours. It's a fitting name and I could see it actually becoming a mode in real life, and actually the sort of look I seem to naturally admire / gravitate towards
+1. I second "Gothprep".
Dark ages looks good
-Long tunics with belts over top
-Skinny pants and leg wraps
-dainty leather shoes
-cloaks and capes and those funny hood things
Messy hair and beards/ Moustaches
The coulors could be tones down a bit so they look less fanciful (autistic)
I've always liked the look of dark ages shit

I've been going with lunarcore for a while but then I expanded it to an overall 80s look.
But recently this fostered an Idea and I wanna try fusing lunarcore with a more casual/civilian look since most of it is heavily militarized and uses modern techwear pieces.
I've been getting into cyberpunk stuff and old techwear because that seems to kinda point toward where I wanna head
So my ideal would be to create the impression of the 80s vision of space, Lunar-Normcore/ LunarPunk is what I'll call it for now.
Alien has been super helpful in this respect but now I'm starting to look at works like Blade Runner and Back to the Future to see what happens there.
I don't like it, just don't end up doing this.
I meant to say I do like it
yeah, that was here. that was a comfy thread.

resistance core
based on the aesthetic of resistance movements of western europe and the republican side of the spanish civil war
WIDE trousers always high waisted, leather shoes and old style military ankle boots, loose shirts, thick turtle necks and sweaters under comfy wooly blazers or scarfs tucked inside, BIG coats for winter, work jackets, tucking pants into wool socks etc.

I could see these working together.
Which brands offer this formal gothic/dark style?
>Dries Van Noten
>CdG Homme Plus
>Issey Miyake
>Ann Demeulemeester
Only two I can think of.
That's basically milspo
Obviously without all the gear it's just pretty much what peasants and workers wore in the inter war period. Not milspo
Sure it's formal, but what's preppy about it
...
Thanks, it's just what I've always called it. It's basically how I've been dressing for awhile now, I had no idea it wasn't already "a thing".
+1, I 2nd this.
w2c? Dope.
so basically suits for men and modest/traditional for women
