minoxidil will not just stay on your cheeks. it goes systemic in the body and will effect hair in other areas. head hair that becomes dependent on this will fall out once you stop including if it gets to your scalp. i know this guy who took it to grow more facial hair since he had patchy pube hair on his face and it gave him a beard but caused horrible facial aging due to minoxidils effect on collagen synthesis in the body. also when he stopped taking it his head hair had a huge shed even though he only put it on his cheeks. the face aging mostly reversed but his hair is much thinner now. the beard it gave him is still there though.
