what exactly is bad about this? It wouldn't happen over night so there would be lots of time to adjust. No one is going ti invade them or perform a mass immigration because they dont have natural resources and if there population is the low there wouldn't be entitlements to collect and the economy would be so small that no one would move there for a job.
All this comes down to is whether the politicians decide they value tax income more than they value their own culture and i think if they valued taxes they could have caved to immigration by now.
