Why is Anorexia general a thing? Do you people really idolize mental disorders? You do realize that the majority of "thinspo" pics are probably doctored in some way and that those feature in the pictures are genetically predisposition to be petite/thin? Also why are you coming to Veeky Forums in order to learn how to lose weight? Is it because you know that if you go to Veeky Forums (which actually has valuable dietary advice once you get passed the onion bullshit) you'll be called out for your unrealistic expectations and unhealthy goal weight?

Nothing is more Veeky Forums than being a healthy individual and respecting your body, intentionally starving yourself will only make you less happy.

Hello guys. Tell me, how are you doing?

Life is getting easier for me, but my habits are getting worse.
It became either binging and purging once I take a bite of anything or fasting because I am scared of eating.
Really hope I will reach my goal of 55kg before the 28th regardles... Definitely wasted this week and visibly gained weight becauseof the b/p and no exercise because I am so done. I hate myself.

Suffering sucks, and you can get mentally addicted to it. Try to understand why you want to be thin, why you binged, and why you didnt go workout. Once you realize everything is your fault including lack of happiness things get alot better.

Society idolizes mental disorders. I don't think this thread always promotes anorexia, as some people here just want to lose a bit of weight and actually need to, while others are already thin and want to maintain, but it's pretty quick to give advice that promotes losing weight. It's weird because we can tell fat people to fast, but if you're already thin, we can't. But lel, we're in a world where your therapist can prescribe you a therapy dog and your landlord has to allow it, where it's kosher to brag about mental illness on FB, so, yeah, mental disorders are normalized.

My pictures have been posted and they have not been doctored. Though I do think that a lot of thinspo posters angle themselves in ways to look as flattering as possible. Many people do this, thinspo or not. Many athletes do this, instagram thots do this, normies do this.

Veeky Forums is also not without its retardation. That aside, they will tell me to gain muscle and get big thighs, legs, and ass, which I don't find attractive.

Ended my first semester in college pretty awful. Trying to learn discipline to do better this spring, getting ahead of my classes, and such.

Lost 2 pounds this week and making more of an effort to eat healthy and do cardio.

It's going to suck, but gotta keep going. These guys will only last the first few weeks, be surprised if they last the entire month. The whole concept of being renewed is awful anyways.

I don't really mind the concept. I feel like as adults we kind of sneer at the concept of learning new things or growing, which is a shame. I agree that 99% of new year resolutions are given up on in the first three weeks of January, but I think it's worse to ever just "accept" your flaws. (Probably because I'm a former fattie, lel.)

I suck at doing things at home because there's too much to distract me, or I just feel like relaxing. Like for school, I'd rather be at a library to study, and for working out, I'd rather be at a gym. I think that's partially because I go with my friends half the time, too.

Is 110 unreasonable? I felt pretty small at 130 but wanted more.

Will I see results at 1,000 calories a day if I stick to it? I walk about two miles a day but no other exercise.

I'm 128-130 and I feel fine, I'm also 1-2 inches shorter than you though. I think 110 is way too thin, maybe 120-125 would be fine cause that's what I'm trying to go for

Fix your posture. Anything that involves pulls helps with that, so pull ups should be your priority. Shrugs might help too with pulling back your scapula. If you have access to weights, do some rows. Just make sure to develop some upper back strength to be able to stand properly all day effortlessly and you'll look way better.

Well I eat meals normally, sometimes I don't have time to eat all 3 main meals but I always try to eat at least one of those meals a day. My breakfast always has eggs in it, my lunch and dinner always has rice, beans and some form of meat (chicken or red meat, NO PORK). I don't eat "outside" food and if I do it's maybe once every 3 months. I drink 6-10 16.9 fl oz bottles of water a day

My exercise which I do daily is just 3 sets of 10 normal pullups, 3 sets of 7-10 wide grip pullups, 3 sets of 20 pushups

Also I never drink soda or any drinks with sugar in it unless its my 1 cup of coffee in the morning, just water

If you're getting that many pull-ups, you should easily be able to maintain good posture. Next time you do pull-ups,try angling yourself so that your chest is facing as upward as possible. If you can still get 5-7 pull-ups you'll need to start working on your posture more actively because it's only a problem of bad habits.

You're pretty much fucked. Contact sport essentially means the absolute impulse you can put out and absorb matters and not your relative strength. If you're ripped at 60 kg you'll still not be able to absorb a 90 kg buildfat dude ramming into you, no matter how much relative strength and technique and body control you have. In some sports you can avoid the body contact part by being incredibly fast and agile, but that will only get you so far. Football (soccer) and Basketball come to mind. Once you have any more contact than these, you're fucked as soon as you're light. It's just physics.

Do you love being unnecessarily skinny more than being able to do what you love? You can be big and still look good, in clothes and without. If being big or at least not skinny is actually useful in something you do there is no point in denying yourself the pleasures that come with it. In everyday life being big (not fat, mind you!) and strong comes as close to having superpowers as you can aside from impressing people with intellectual feats. Considering you're tall you should already know the feeling of being physically imposing and girls looking up to you.

Pic related is me when I was training for strength as opposed to looks two years ago, thinspo might consider that fat, but out in the real world I was doing absolutely fine. For reference, that's almost 90 kg on 181 cm and girls still thought I had abs.

If one of you is the guy I responded to then the answer to my initial question seems to be yes, although maybe he'll be able to look better and less ugly/fat while not being too skinny to play hockey properly without getting beat up all the time. I'm currently myself almost 20 kgs lighter than I was in this pic for the exact reason you're criticising it. People still found me attractive.

I’m the guy that originally brought it up. Plan is to maintain my current weight and just drop body fat, as being attractive (and very skinny) is far more important that excelling at one of my hobbies. Thanks for all of the information though, it was appreciated.
