Yeah this drop point blade is much nicer than the more common opinel shape; don't worry about tarnishing, it simply means you have a high carbon steel blade, which sharpens more easily and keeps a better edge, but is susceptible to rust and oxidation. Just rub it with some steel wool or a scotch pad, clean it dry and oil it with anything that won't smell, like mineral oil or olive oil. Natural patina is nicer than the otherwise clean inbox look
