It’s a multitude of reasons. Socio-economics, culture, etc
Most Europeans grow up playing mainly football but also tennis, fieldhockey and volleybal all have tracksuits. So kids start to wear them when they play outside or when they are having no school because of how comfortable and easy to clean they are. Because of this reason parents too don’t mind it when their kid wear a tracksuit since it saves laundry and their only weakness is fire.
From there on as people grow up the love for tracksuits remains and lower class youths who’s single mother cannot be arsed to do their laundry tend to wear track bottoms all day long even at school

Where do I get an actual adidas tracksuit?
Sounds crazy I know -- they're seemingly ubiquitous but actually not. I want proper tracksuit material, not the sweatpanty jersey shit, or the slim bomber jacket collar like , as opposed to a real collar. Besides thrifting/vintage best I can find is a random ebay store which is likely of dubious quality.

I like track pants, but I don't like the idea of wearing a full tracksuit. I got these and they are extremely comfortable. I was thinking of getting the Breakaway track pants or the Tiro 17, but the Breakaways seem a bit too loose for my liking in some pics.

I think the beckenbauer and the firebird tracksuits are adidas’ best models. The superstar is ok too but I only like funnel neck jackets. I tend to only get and only wear the jacket with jeans because I feel like the sweatpants would get dragged all over the place and get ruined
