Gum Soles!

What don't you like about them user?

why is every "sneakerhead" always creaming himself over gumsoles? what's so goodlooking about gumsoles? They can look nice on certain shoes but I noticed that everybody who's a little bit into shoes/sneakers always talks about gumsoles. Are they just repeating what other "shoeguys" say, just to fit in?

I really like how they look on a lot of shoes. I also really like the grip they provide. Just a nice choice for soles in my opinion.

But I totally get if some people don't like them.

Gumsoles tend to look better when sneakers are used or beat up than white soles.
But it's not a rule of thumb. White soles on sneaks like air force 1 or stan smiths look very good too.

It pains me that these were the only good pair of black canvas gum sole sneakers
and according to everyone who has owned them, they wore like shit and were a waste of money

Puma and Nike both do black suede and canvas style with a gum sole

I was afraid of that
I hate suede shoes, they get dirty and don't look that good either.

It's a fixed gear hipster cycling brand but Chrome does make a pretty good gum soled black sneaker. Should be pretty cheap too if you can find these for sale somewhere, the model is called "Truk".
