If you want to watch a basketball-american with actual knowledge about fragrances, try Simply Put Scents.

Asking again: what are the best Byredo scents?

Mojave Ghost seems interesting to me, is it any good?

I've been wearing Vetiver by Guerlain for over a year now
Definitely love the scent but I don't think I'll buy another one

The first seconds/minutes bothers me. It's hard to explain, but I find it too "fresh", kind of lemon-ish
Not what I was aiming for

Is there an alternative Vetiver, halfway from Terre d'Hermes let's say, you'd recommend?

Would swapping a 100ml bottle of La Nuit De L'Homme Frozen Cologne for a 90ml bottle of Spicebomb Extreme be a fair trade for both parties?

Alternatives that smell like the one edp but with better longevity?

Sauvage

Wtf I love Eros now

Attached: 1521224974976.jpg (845x990, 62K)

Perfume is subjective so, no. One person is getting scammed for 10ml

whoever is getting the Spicebomb is getting fucked because it's a dogshit frag compared to YSL La Nuit

I own Pulp, Oud Immortel, and Bullion. All three were love at first sniff, though Pulp has run away as my favorite. Very creative green fruit scent that feels simultaneously dry and juicy. To smell Pulp is the olfactory equivalent of taking a bite out of a Fuji apple. You can almost feel the meal and skin of fresh fruit in your mouth. Surprising even when you know it's coming. Huge sillage and excellent longevity.

I don't yet have very much to say about Oud Immortel as I've only worn it a few times. It requires that you enjoy limoncello and as with Creed's Royal Oud, its oud is more of a presence than a note that you can readily pick out and identify. The primary accord is the almost candy sweetness of limoncello, with a sort of woody aura surrounding it. I need to give it more wears.

Bullion is especially fantastic at the opening spray, all saffron and juicy sueded plum. The note list makes it the most oriental Byredo. I appreciate this one's uniqueness - also, I'm always a sucker for plum in a perfume, which is why I copped it. Though Bullion performs perfectly well, I find myself wishing that it were as nuclear as Pulp.

I have no testing experience with Mojave Ghost. Was interested in Bal d'Afrique but found a deal on Vetiver Fatal instead, which is an alleged fraternal twin scent from the same nose. Will probably cop Accord Oud and maybe Westbrook.

post your favorite non-Aventus Creed frags.

Interesting. I do want to try Pulp. Not usually a huge oud guy, but the limoncello note sounds interesting.

They really just seem to have a lot of unique, interesting scents. Maybe I’ll just grab a bunch of samples.

Silver mountain water is the only acceptable answer

Xerjoff Mefisto is better.

dousing myself in HL EDC these days, longevity is lacking but its intoxicating. if you want to smell like cum on clean sheets, this is for you

Hey call me weird but I am intrigued by the smell of ginko fruit. Its really pungent. Some people hate it saying it smells like poop or jizz, and I can agree with them. But I am seriously attracted to it since it's so raw and powerful. A break in the mundane scents of daily grind. Is there a perfume at the same power level that isn't as off putting to other people. I don't want to smell like fresh dooky or nutt butter.

secretions magnifique

What is the best summertime frag and why is it Acqua Di Gio?

Royal Oud

Try extreme

>Wanting to smell like a twink fuccboi instead of warm sweet spices and tobacco

MI by far. I hate Meme-ventus but MI is top-tier shit and half the price.

This. Also, hookers love it.

the only creeds I like are GIT and virgin island water. all others are just super boring, weak and expensive

Holy shit, are you me? This, but minus GIT and virgin island water.

Royal Oud is probably the best thing in Creed's lineup, right above Aventus.

I think Original Vetiver deserves more love than it gets. Fresher and easier to wear than GIT, with a more herbaceous and substantial drydown than Mugler Cologne. I like when the wear turns momentarily weed-y.

Kek-a-rooney

Me too

I think I need medical help or something because a cologne recently stained my sense of smell. I don't understand the science or the technical aspect , but 5 months ago (yes 5 months ago) I sprayed a cologne on. And ever since, atleast 7 times a day I get a wiff of the smell from that cologne. It's not on my clothes, I changed and wash my clothes every week. I shower ever day. I still smell this cologne at random times and it's driving me crazy. Anyone heard of anyone else having this problem or something I can read into to solve this. I don't want to say the cologne, just incase if it comes down to a lawsuit or they used some type of chemical in it. I'll say it's an expensive niche fragrance only.

What excactly makes the longevity of summery citrus scents so bad?

molecule size

my question is why don't they just concentrate the hell out of citrus molecules. for example, u100 insulin is regular acting and u500 insulin is long acting simply due to the molecules stacking on top of each other due to the concentration, thus taking longer to dissociate and be utilized. why not do the same with citrus molecules in fragrance?

of course there is the aspect that perfumers don't want it to last long- they want you to use more of it, so lasting shorter and requiring you to reapply more means you have to buy more product.

Jesus, tell us the fragrance user. Short of getting fbi to van you, they can't do anything about you, nor the openly negative and often hyperbolic reviews on fragrantica and basenotes.

I don't know the science behind it, but perhaps it's not all as simple as that. I'm sure it changes what the molecule smells like.
Interestingly, Luca Turin has experimented with this before"
"What makes a molecule last long is mostly its weight. Adding a carbon (weight 12) usually doubles the time a molecule stays on your skin... (a) popular dry citrus-lime topnote... We made the thiirane. To my delight it smelled very close indeed to the original, but went on forever...All but two of the perfumers loved it; the last two said it smelled of skunk, not lemon."

folio.nzz.ch/2009/oktober/designer-genes

Apparently the molecule created smelled different to people with different genetic variations. Weird.

Royal Oud and Royal Mayfair
Spice & Wood is great too, but not for this price.

I live in Florida. It's pretty much hot and humid and "summertime" year round, with exception of maybe like December and January. Should I even bother getting a winter/cold weather frag since I would barely get to use it? What's a good hot weather fragrance?
Try rinsing your sinuses out with some saline with one of those neti pot things

invasion barbare, HDP 1725, and original formulation YSL rive gauche, in that order. they're all the same style - fougere's.

imagine artificial scents actually getting you laid. stop watching axe commercials.

You're not gonna make it robot :(((

i hope this is a shitpost

It was nasomatto baraonda. They legit probably ruined my life.

Imagine being so fragile that you fail a constitution check versus a perfume extrait

I had to stop using it because my dick was turning purple of banging too much

Thoughts on Lonestar Memories?

Attached: 375x500.4575.jpg (375x500, 27K)

For me it came down to this and l'air du desert marocain, went with the latter but both swell

Need to try it, loved lddm

I have £60 to spend on a new bottle, done enough sampling to narrow my choices down.
LNDH
ADG Profumo
Pure Havane
Eau Sauvage Cologne
Versace PH
BDC EDP
Those are the ones I enjoy the most.
Would use them in a hospitality or casual setting.

is Guerlain Vetiver a new meme? Has it dethroned Eros, Sauvage and Invictus as meme kings?

lonestar is good. smokey and resinous. if you are seeking something more balanced and wearable/accessible though look elsewhere

The only comment from a girl I got for GV was "it smells like a woman's shampoo"

Still hasn't beaten out Dylan blue as meme frag of this general though

>get a job
>list a set of goals
>in two months, i've checked them all off
>new car, new phone, all the expensive frags i wanted, with two along the way
>now don't know what to do with my life besides work

Attached: 1495830641115.jpg (326x326, 27K)

I'm 25. Is that the right age to wear Vetiver Extreme in a professional or business casual setting? Or even just dressed up casually?

get into modular synthesizers, you can put at least a year of decent salary into these until you're satifsied

on a more serious note, get into painting, making music or something

Congrats. You’ve learned that life is meaningless bullshit. That’s all it is, it’s a treadmill of working so you can afford to have a house/car/the occasional nice thing. That’s it. The only thing left to do now is start travelling, banging hookers, and doing tons of drugs. That’s the endgame of life.

get pussy, faggot

I'll leave this here. amazon.it/dp/B001FWXMBQ

no clue if it's legit.

Why would you think it's a meme? It's just been popular for decades, albeit a lot less these days.

I prefer extreme version, so I copped that recently but I don't understand

Pure Havane is great and worth it for the longevity, but I think it's just too late in the year to buy it now, the warmer it gets the less I'm wearing it. It's really not one to wear in warm weather with the opening scent. ADG Profumo though I found great for work in a fairly similar environment, performance lasts whole shifts, is noticeable but isn't offensive and fits almost flush into that budget. On the other hand BDP is a perfect any occasion all-rounder for that budget.

Get into things that force you to slow down your pace, that require patience and hard work. Reading, for example, and caring for a meticulous garden.

Go /out/

Build something from the ground up. Start a business, study writing, painting and photography

Fuck something up. Start a fire, study hookers, drugs, and pornography.

That's it. Booking a hotel for Friday and Saturday for a weekend of booze and whores. Packing Aventus for Friday night and Eros for Saturday? I think I'll pick Saturday for my casino night.

Where do you guys buy samples? something like scent-split, or ebay?

Fragrancenet have restocked the Royal Oud 500ml flacon. They're priced $21 higher this time, though.

fragrancenet.com/fragrances/creed/creed-royal-oud/eau-de-parfum#305381

Atta boy!

Was looking to get into new fragrances so I bought a few around Fragrancenet I've never smelled before
>Creed Irish Tweed EDP
>Creed Royal Oud EDP
>Mont Blanc Legend EDT
and finally because it was like $2.50
>Joop EDT
not expecting much from the Joop and I know people here really like Creed but what about the Mont Blanc? anyone have a good experience with that?

But seriously

Veeky Forums here
Are there any gadgets that can turn my cologne into an air freshener that I can put in my car?

Attached: 28276826_2174232716137260_2771140603940553533_n.jpg (717x486, 39K)

Is this site legit?

not that I can think of and using "cologne" as an air freshener is a good way to piss your money away

>piss your money away
Too bad, I have more than I really need so I'd rather use it in my car than let it sit around for nothing.

Attached: DSC_0241.jpg (3840x2160, 1.3M)

What kind of seating? Cloth, bucket or leather?

Alcantara and leather

With leather seating scents won't really stick to them. Just use the perfume on yourself and let it overpower whatever's in the car.

Yup. People here use it all the time. I’ve ordered a bunch of stuff from them, never had a problem.

Just spray a whole shitload into your AC vents.

here's a better idea then, open your bottles and pour it down the sink
the amount you would have to spray to keep it consistently circulating in your car would be too much and keeping it in your car is going to expose it to extreme temps and ruin it in a couple weeks.

i could try soaking a piece of felt or something desu

Attached: 1472814888545_magictree.jpg (1528x1528, 249K)

Just spray your floor mats (or seats if they're black fabric) with something strong and generic. Car interiors, especially fabrics, hold scents very well. My car has a certain scent just from my long-ish daily commute, but when I've sprayed the seats in the past they've held scent for several days at a go.

>Just spray your floor mats
good idea my dude

have you gotten them in the mail yet?
which is your favorite?

Sounds psychological or environmental desu. Tell us more about the circumstances of your use of Nasomatto Baraonda. Do you own the bottle? A sample? Did you try it on a tester or at a friend's place? Did you drive or wear a coat while stinking of overpriced niche parfum?
Details.

Without knowing more, my bet is on a coat. Although, even the most persistent perfume that I can think of (Molecule 04) wouldn't last on fiber for five whole months. Or wouid it?

When will this meme die? Spend $5 on a box of 3ml atomizers on Amazon and take it with you in your fucking pocket. Jesus Christ is it that complicated?

Sounds like it's all in your head, you attention-craving retard.

Because there's something inherently retarded about having to reapply cologne to yourself when you're out and about in public. Plenty of cologne manufacturer's are capable of producing a cologne that lasts through the workday and then some and charge reasonable prices. Why patronize some company when their product is distinctly inferior?

Because no other company makes a scent that I find comparable obviously

Love me some Burberry London user

Even my fucking shower gel lasts an hour or so. There is absolutely no basis apart from anecdotes and bro-science for the claim that The One doesn't last a reasonable amount of time. When you can't notice it anymore you're experiencing phasic adaptation (or "olfactory fatigue" if you're a bro-scientist). Others, however, still do. The One lasts a full 8-hour work day on me (and that's just the EDT). It doesn't project across the room like Eros or Sauvage but others close by can smell it even after I finish work. This is also the case with every IRL person I know who owns it. As a matter of fact, the only time I ever hear complaining about The One's performance is from autists on the internet. That's ok, though- the more people dipshits like you convince not to wear it, the more unique it will become for non-spergs like me.

Or just buy Jazz Club.

Found some Dylan Boue for cheap. Should I cop? Mostly for spring.

Dylan Blue* also should mention I am 21 years old white male (male).
