What's with eBay buyers and scams

I inherited a bunch of vending machine parts and stuff about 6 months ago and have been selling off part by part on eBay. I've sold about 50 items and have had 6 buyers attempt to scam me. I take down the serial number and take numerous photos of everything I sell. 4 of them bought an item from me and tried to return the broken one they were replacing claiming it was the one I sent. Other 2 stripped smaller parts from what they go and tried to send it back as incomplete.

My question is, everytime this happens my paypal gets frozen and I've got to deal with fighting eBay and these idiots with proof. What steps can I take to prevent this?

"What you see is what you get, no refunds no returns for anyone for any reason"

I did do that buy the most recent guy now is just claiming "damaged in shipping" and the shipping company declined the claim because it obviously wasn't. So eBay paid him and took it out on me.

eBay is the new myspace

That's bullshit man, you need to find a different site. Try craigslist, face to face?

I live in a pretty rural place. I've been thinking of just auctioning it all off in one lot.

Have you tried to contact ebay again about the situation?

ebay customer care is piece of shit

My current status, put this stuff up today.

The 29 left over are worth 642.00 not sure why eBay isn't adding them up.

Have a bunch more stuff to list too but eBay starts charging .30 cents for each listing and the 1st is a couple of days away so I'm just going to wait and jew it up for the promo.

not really many alts to ebay unfortunately. i have 4k small items that sell $1-2, not looking forward to dealing with ebay once i decide to start slingin'

Add their mothers/gf/sisters on facebook and show them how he's scamming you

Or blackmail him into ending the dispute once you have their profiles

You can suck paypals cock. They dont care, if youre right. Theyll stil side with the customer unless you have irrefutable proof and still yoi will have to go through the process you mentioned.
Paypal almost ruined me, because of ""complaining"" customers, so I decided the best way to go is let the scammers have it, block them, and always pull my money from paypal.

Are you going to charge shipping? Because damn that don't seem worth it at all.

yeah, shipping is separate

user I scraped together evidence of a niche scamming ring on eBay that was $1000's of dollars and would get a guy convicted in a court of law after they tried to scam me, and eBay kept his account open and permabanned my name, address, and phone number from ever opening an account again after being labeled a "negative influence to the eBay community" for calling the scammer and ebay customer care out on knowing about the scam and enabling it to continue on their support forums.

Alright that's good then, what are you selling if you don't mind telling?

casino slot cards, from defunct casinos. got my hands on a bundle of them from a bunch of different vegas hotels.

What's the new Facebook then?

Veeky Forums.

People are tired of knowing exactly who said what. Not knowing anything about anybody that posts is the new hot thing.

PayPal applies its own policies word by word. Most scammers know them in and out, while your average "hur, dur I sell smartphone for big bukks11!" once-off seller doesn't even bother to read the legal agreements.

did you even read the thread?

They are completely useless. Spent days talking to them after they charged me for shipping despite the fact that I chose to delay the shipping cost until they buyers payment went through (they let you do this but it doesn't work sometimes I guess). My account got overdrafted 5 times, I lost over $200. Never got it back.

In return, I didn't pay my seller fees. Collections didn't try very hard over $180.
