So I just finished all of Grisaia and I have to say Sachi's route is by far the worst.

It didn't feel Grisaia at all, it was conventional kiddy shit that Key would make. Sachi doesn't have an emotional climax like the other characters.

I didn't have a problem with Michiru's route unlike many people. I thought the multiple personality stuff was cute and I liked the ending where she visited her old family. It was emotionally touching, even if it was possible retconned or whatever.

Makina's route was good but yeah, the ending was weird, either the good or bad ending.

The problem is that part of Grisaia's charm is the dark and oppressive armosphere of the world. Sachi's route is like something out of Clannad, it just doesn't resonate with the four other routes.

I liked Mitcher's route the most. Would've liked if there was an h-scene where she switched personalities halfway through.

I liked Yumiko but her route was shit.
Same with Makina. Her route was pretty comfy but it turned to shit pretty quick.

Her getting jealous at herself in the end was cute.

The coffin part was absolutely retarded but other than that it was a good route and the ending provided some excellent closure using the multiple personalities thing. For that reason I'm not upset at that, even though eveyone keeps calling it reatarded.

Some of the Yuuji's personality was a bit "off' though, due to the different writer.

It's very annoying and major in my eyes. Nozomu voiced that he prefers Rehme-chan over Rehme-san because it's cuter, obviously since she's small and cute thus would match her. Rehme snapped back at Nozomu in a I feel sick/disgusted when it comes from you saying that, which makes her even cuter because you can tell she's a tsundere.

Nozomi and Rehme were being polite exchanging regards. The line with Nozomi being astonished and calling her cute and tiny doesn't exist at all and misrepresents Nozomi's personality there. The same for Rehme who was fine being called Rehme-chan, although she isn't used to -san when Nozomi tried to change how she calls her by. Rehme being called Rehme-chan is sorta like a gag since others do it too because she's so darn cute, but Rehme tells them in a polite and sometimes grumpy manner that they don't need to use -chan, but generally yields every time despite such cute reminders..

Rehme is top tier even without it. I went through the fandisk ages ago and loved it. I preferred Rehme over Nanashi, but after the fandisck I have them about equal.

A whole lot of conjecture you've got there. For starters, ignore anybody that doesn't provide decent reasoning or examples and you'll filter out nerds that don't know what they're talking about.

The truth here is that the original is just as bad 99% of the time.

Translated VNs are always an improvement over the original, except when "localized"(rewritten).

The rewriting part makes them superior though, since the originals are so bad.

I'm fine with translators taking liberties with the works - jokes meant for Japanese audiences need to be localized, and the script needs to be altered very slightly to flow into English, because translated Japanese by nature is stiff.

But then you've got retarded translators like Treehouse or Nick Doerr that wipe their arse with the original script and fuck it all up.

No. Japs are the only people capable of creating a good story while English is the only langue that can be used to tell a good story. You need accurate translations without any shitty rewriting.

The setsu-poo thing was blatantly incorrect the context of the scene was that she was a maid and said master or onii-chan or something. Even being an EOP that shit was jarring.
