You need at least 10, I think 10 anyways, just learn a small group of core champions, focusing on 2 roles. Know to play 3-4 different champions in each role you play preferably with mixes between ap, ad, or tankiness so you can fill a role your team might be missing

Xin zhao, chogath, annie, lux, garen. Most 450-1350 ip champions are fairly basic to pick up but are still strong
