Previous Thread: Life is Strange is an episodic interactive drama from DONTNOD Entertainment. Set in the Pacific Northwest in the town of Arcadia Bay, the player follows the story of Maxine Caulfield and her seemingly newfound ability to turn gay and rewind time. At the prestigious Blackwell Academy, Max must prepare with Chloe Price for the incoming storm of returning to her hometown after five years. Available on Steam, PSN and Xbox Live.
OH SHIT ARE YOU GUYS READY SEASON 2 WITH KATE AS MAIN CHARACTER GET HYPED ! ! !
Asked directly about a Life is Strange sequel, Oskar Guilbert says the studio is "fully focused" on Vampyr, but that the core team from Life is Strange is "doing something I'm not allowed to talk about."
"In a few months, we will maybe reveal more or have a different conversation, but now my focus is Vampyr."
Every fucking time this pik is always first, how the fuck, is it a bit or something? But I don't mind since it's Kate
Oliver Robinson
Sorry user I wanted to make sure the Strawpolls were in the OP. The janitor deleted one of them last thread
William Flores
I guess.
Isaac Bailey
It'll be all right, user. Now wipe away those tears and show the world your smile.
Ryder Rodriguez
>newfound ability to turn gay Still in there god dammit!
Jayden Rodriguez
What's wrong with that
Cameron Nguyen
It's alright... Strawpolls are essential I guess.
Hudson Foster
Cheer up, Brian.
Austin Evans
How do I contact the janitor?
Caleb Johnson
...
Sebastian Turner
Post an image of Donald Trump. That usually makes him show up.
Austin Green
Leave a note next to his mop and bucket.
Oliver Martin
...
Nolan Watson
I'm ok, I actually just chuckled at for some reason.
Nicholas Cook
Here's hoping nothing happens this thread so you can make the next one
Adam Mitchell
Why are you guys bullying the janitor
Jack Price
Donald Trump looks like a constipated toad.
Julian Myers
Too bad he's gonna be President because apparently nobody fucking cares about intelligent candidate
Julian Myers
Because he/she is a huge fucking twat.
Ryder Torres
He bullied me for bullying Michel by getting a mod to ban me for 24 hours 5 hours after I posted this image and an edited version of When A Man Loves A Woman
Thomas Sanders
No, the retards just care about how "politically incorrect" he is- As if that actually matters or is relevant at all.
Camden Baker
What was the stated reason for the ban?
Jayden Johnson
>Rule 3. You will not post any of the following outside of /b/: Trolls, flames, racism, off-topic replies, uncalled for catchphrases, macro image replies, indecipherable text (example: "lol u tk him 2da bar|?"), anthropomorphic ("furry") or grotesque ("guro") images, post number GETs ("dubs"), or loli/shota pornography.
Leo Myers
You're a pretty cool person. Pls never leave us.
Connor Martinez
Good luck finding an intelligent candidate in US of A.
Camden Harris
No watermark on this one. And it's bigger.
Christian Russell
that's good, right?
Owen Cook
>#346
what the fuck
how the hell did this general get this many threads?
Jack Jenkins
>the rare time that the tumblr version is better Of course you'd be all over that!
Why don't you fetch deviantart content by the way?
Christian Ross
I want to pet Alice!
Can't let go.
Elijah Cruz
>Chloe parks her car on the handicap spot in episode 1 Pottery
Gavin Thompson
Not so rare, though I haven't seen many Life is Strange examples of this. >da Maybe I do, but the filenames already have the artist in them so I don't change them? :^) Tbqh, the thought occured to me a few times, and it would be easier to write than what rippers I already have, but I've never followed on it. For one, the quality of pictures there is too meh for downloading by tag/search query/whatever, and there's too much SFM stuff. And I wouldn't know who to follow there.
Gabriel Diaz
>Steals money from the handicap fund
Bravo, Dontnod!
Connor Baker
That is not to say all sfm is automatically bad. Just most of it.
Zachary Turner
>Chloe loves the colour blue >William was painting the house blue and only the upper half is blue It rhymes
John Hall
It's the half where her room is.
Matthew Bell
d-dont
Xavier Brooks
that, however, is not sfm
Nathan Brown
Fair enough; there is a lot more noise there. You are missing out on some sweet stuff too though. But that's what I'm here for, I suppose.
Samuel Jenkins
>Max writes in her diary in episode 1 that Warren might be able to find an explanation for her powers >he's a joke character that gets less and less screen time per episode >he figures it all out by the end anyway I think Warren might just be the key to all this
Asher Gonzalez
the journals give away the whole plot long before any of it happens, masked as 'haha wouldn't this be funny/stupid/awful if this happens' Whoever wrote the journals, it feels like they were a dig at the other writers.
Josiah Cruz
Oh, right, that was Maya, wasn't it? I don't know when I started using SFM as an umbrella term for everything with ripped game models. Thanks for posting them!
Leo Evans
w-why is Chloe looking so angry at Max?
Ryan Morris
Okay, I'll look into it
Nolan Perez
Is this true?
Jason Parker
Of course, soldier!
She's wants to be angry but can't stay angry at Max's cute self - and gets angry at herself in the process! Someone will post the fanart that explains this.
Elijah Watson
Look into what? I'm not banned any more and it's a dumb and silly, little story to tell now.
Jaxon Cruz
H-Hiro?
Oliver Lewis
Herro, herro. We wan no trobbu!
Luke Carter
>"doing something I'm not allowed to talk about." hopefully remake of the first game
Lucas Powell
>they remake lis >all the comfy things are taken out, replaced with bleakness instead
Dylan Butler
So... the sequel.
Life is Strange: Subtitle ? Life is Strange: Season 2 ? New Title ? New Title: Subtitle ? New Title: Season 2 ?
...Life is Too Strange ?
Hunter Wright
/lesg/, recently I feel like despite everything I miss waiting for the new LIS episodes. There isn't quite anything with a similiar atmosphere to it either.
I need a game to feel the void
Lucas Lee
2 Life 2 Strange: Tokyo Drift
Joshua Rodriguez
Play through the game again but only do one episode per day so for example, you play episode 1 on a Monday and then 2 on Tuesday, etc. Either that or throw 100 hours into MGSV:TPP
Carson Thomas
Ok, I'll do it myself!
>>>Le Sigh
Carson Taylor
...
Jeremiah Barnes
what i do is watch youtube vids, tv shows or movies on one screen and fuck around in a sandbox game like fallout, gta or minecraft on the second one paying attention half to the video and half to the game, keeps me from slitting my wrists for now
Jonathan Gutierrez
So what do you think dontnod is working on beside vampyr
Ryan Sullivan
Season 2.
Pretty sure Dontnod is fairly small and they have two teams. One for "action" games (Remember Me, Vampyr) and another for "narrative" games (LiS).
Noah Thomas
How can we help them? I want vampyr to come out already so they can focus on season 2 Would you like a male lead or female lead again
Bentley Morgan
Max can go back in time through photos which leaves her in a sort of auto-pilot mode where the auto-pilot version of her has no knowledge of the future once the auto-pilot kicks in, right? What is the first thing Max does in the game after rushing to the lighthouse during the storm? Take a selfie. What if the visions are last moments of timelines where Max messed something up along the way and she goes back through photos to avoid messing up? I know that this "theory" falls apart because Max doesn't only have the very first vision in episode 1 at the very start but also at the end of episode 1 and then again in the chunk of episode 2
Alexander Ramirez
I like the time loop/'the storm always arrives on friday' theory. Max activated her powers not to save Chloe, but as she was about to be crushed to death by the lighthouse. So the first vision isn't a vision, it's really happening at the start of the game. The later versions of it are just flashbacks/reminders of what is ahead. She instinctively rewound back to the art class because she knows that this is minutes before her childhood best friend supposedly died in the girls bathrooms, so it's exactly the time and place she needs to be to save her, to make the change that will not only save Chloe but also by extension her own life too.
Mason Myers
We've had theories about "us" or "our Max" actualy being an autopilot version herself. But it doesn't hold up. At all.
They've made enough money, but I guess you can buy the Limited Edition (reminder that having the LE makes you an absolute cute), Remember Me or Vampyr and be content with the thought that your couple of bucks actively contribute at some point in the development of the second season.
As for lead gender. Doesn't matter as long as the game is good. There are things in this season that I'm still convinced worked at least mostly because of gender-specifics. But that doesn't mean a second season would need the same things. I'd prefer they stick to female leads though. Why not?
Charles Jackson
i'd play the absolute tits out of that, being a racing enthusiast and all
Henry Baker
>The later versions of it are just flashbacks/reminders of what is ahead. Sort of like "fast-forwards" because of how hard she went back in time and the timeline itself is being strained until Max gets enough stuff done (saving Chloe from the train, for example) to not end up at the lighthouse alone? Chloe ends up dead until further intervention is done on Friday/Thursday, sure, but in the then "default" timeline, Max is trapped in the Dark Room so she can't be going to the lighthouse.
Kevin Hill
how to handle bankrupcy once it comes out
Landon Mitchell
>As Max and Chloe are leaving the ruins of Arcadia Bay behind, there's one more tragic story unfolding >Alice and Lisa stuck in Max's room, Alice hasn't eaten anything in days, the dorms are destroyed and no one comes looking for them >"No one's gonna come save us, this is the end, we'll starve to death..." >Alice...you can survive this and go back to your owner. All you have to do is... all you have to do is eat me." >"What? No, fuck that. Lisa, you're my number one priority, I'm not eating you!" >"Alice, think about it... how many times this week did you try to nibble my leafs? I'm a plant, Alice, you're a bunny, maybe it's time I accept my destiny... OUR destiny." >"Lisa, I can't make this choice!" >"No Alice, you're the only one who can"
>the timeline itself is being strained until Max gets enough stuff done (saving Chloe from the train, for example) to not end up at the lighthouse alone? Yeah, that's the way I see it. Obviously it's a completely just-for-fun theory that's ruined by the Bay ending, but I like it.
Wyatt Williams
>OH SHIT ARE YOU GUYS READY SEASON 2 WITH KATE AS MAIN CHARACTER GET HYPED ! ! ! Threadly reminder that Kate is never going to appear in anything ever again and her memory will fade from our minds soon enough.
Cameron Thompson
How do you guys deal with being sad/depressed?
Jason Lee
Play vidya with lisg
Grayson Diaz
playing vidya, cuteposting here and almost killing myself on the touge each week
Jose Ward
The Bay ending ruins itself so I guess I'll just give in and use my imagination to accept this theory as how it actually is and imagine a bit more that wheelie-Chloe somehow did something mysterious on Monday that resulted in her being connected to the storm in that universe too, I guess. I don't know any more. Maybe I should just give up and let the bearded fiend wearing glasses yelling 'fils de chienne' at me from under my desk have its way with me. Help
Justin Moore
Listen to music, post on Veeky Forums and sometimes play video games. It doesn't really help.
Jacob Martin

The thing I love the absolute most about the game is everything on the audio level. The music, VA and sometimes even just the ambient sounds carry it when the graphics, lipsync and even writing fall short. Everything about the sounds, music and voice acting makes the world come alive and draws you in. That's my opinion, anyway.
Zachary Torres
there's exactly two. and i mean, no more, no less, than three things that this game does right.
>ambience and atmosphere pretty great. in pic related you can almost feel the damp air
>music i liked the soundtrack, which fitted perfectly with the game.
>characters.
up for debate, but we're still here for max, chloe, and kate, so...
Bentley Price
More Brooke please!
Jacob Allen
Because the animations and graphics aren't amazing, the characters only have their designs, writing and voice acting to really go on so I'm just saying it's great that the voice acting was able to carry them through when the writing didn't quite make it to the 100% mark.
Gavin Adams
>graphics The art direction is gorgeous though. I know the roughness isn't to everyone's taste, but I'd take LiS' visual style over dime a dozen muddy realism any day of the week.
Parker Mitchell
>writing didn't quite make it to the 100% mark
it didn't make it to 50%, but well drop that
the VA are pretty great. and the art is pretty unique (even if not a selling point)
Joseph Ramirez
>two >I mean three >lets list four
Asher Brooks
well, i am quite a bit intoxicated, so...
Zachary Garcia
I think the mo cap work was really good too, when it was used.
Dominic Jackson
The artstyle makes up for the lack of raw graphical fidelity. Everything looking like a drawing or painting is great and the game wouldn't be anywhere near as memorable if it wasn't for it. Sorry if I was being too vague in what I meant.
Jaxson White
Why are you drinking on a Monday night, user? Rough times?
Gavin Myers
rough times indeed
but mainly just because it's a holiday in my country
Josiah Walker
Good luck on your endeavours, man. That's at least some comfort. Holidays are nice.
Joseph Walker
>implying we do I just silently await the end times.
