The boilers were trash, really fucking big and low efficiency.

The torpedo defense system was probably even worse than the Italians. A hit at its thickest point caused the belt to collapse inwards and cut through the lower plate, causing 3,000 tons of flooding from a single air dropped torpedo.

The guns were inefficient in terms of just how big and heavy they made everything, all for a minuscule performance gain over 16" guns.

The armor quality was trash all-round. The reason the belt was so thick was because it was using a poor quality version of WW1 era British armor. They needed to make up for its weakness with sheer thickness.

All around shit.
