Maybe if it was done by Hongfire, but no, the AA2 translation is legit, mostly because we had nip readers from outside of /hgg/ finishing a game with a small database of generic phrases. Linecount couldn't have gone past the thousands Heck I don't even think it went past 1k.

While in comparison, CM3D2 has fuckloads of lines in daily events, chores, yotogi comments and events, VIP events, and that number multiplies with every new personality added and every new VIP event. That's not even counting the rental maids. So, a whole bunch of anons fueled on hype doing maybe a thousand lines, or a smaller group, fueled by nothing but EOP angst, doing tens of thousands of lines for a game that's just going to get more lines in a few months all over again. Which is more likely to happen?

I avoid all these games that have constant DLC and updates and what not. Pain in the ass.

Each personality had around 550 lines or so with around 100 repeats iirc (450 x 30 = 13500 lines). I helped out with the translation a bit myself. It was mostly a one-man job to be honest, some guy from /vn/ did most of the translating. The initial translation effort that got done within the first month was pretty bad due to a combination of a few cleaned up MTLs being submitted and a few people doing TLs whom were less than competent when it came to translating. After that initial effort, it was mostly up to the /vn/ guy to clean it all up. Which he did pretty quickly.

Though he and the other translators were aided greatly all things considered because the guy who ran the AA2 database literally made translation tools the week of release.
