This is a dumb fix, it doesn't help anything and if anything it fucks over every marauder pilot trying to rat because bastion (unlike siege or triage) gives you a weapons timer the moment you activate it.

Its also the pinnacle juggle mechanic behind every triage duo

now when your friend is coasting out of triage and you have to refit, you can't because he has a weapons timer and can't swap out for hardeners while you refit for triage because helping team mates with weapons timers gives YOU weapons timers.

It literally doesn't fuck anything up. The only time it "fucked anything up" is with slowcats which were utterly and completely removed from the game when they were disallowed from running capital remote reps and energy transfers.

There was literally no other instance ever where refitting somehow poisoned an entire meta. In fact refitting has been a good thing for projecting a small number of capital ships in the form of hotswapping triage.

but now because slowcats were fucking cancer (ONE FUCKING THING) several other things need to die too? Triage refitting and triage-swapping will NEVER happen at again because of weapon timers you can't ignore. You'll never be able to swap due to this completely arbitrary limitation on the game which is a pseudo-argument for "skill" when there is no skill involved in selecting a fit and magically being stuck to it.

This arbitrary reduction has eliminated an entire branch of skill based play. Triage swapping is heavily reliant on timing, execution and planning. This arbitrary refit timer has completely ruined valid gameplay thinking it replaces it with "skill" when it literally KILLED a fucking skill based mechanic.
