If a poseball session doesn't go well, don't beat yourself up too much for it. Not everyone is compatible with everyone. There's always going to be room for improvement. Reflect back on what went wrong and try not to repeat the same mistakes.
Remember:
-you don't need to type fast. People are willing to wait a minute for you type out a paragraph or response if it's going to be in good quality (thought put into what was said, correct grammar)
-don't just describe what your avatars are doing
-typing out "moans" and "mmm'" is good filler for when you're stumped on what to say next (but try not to overuse)
-listen to their wants
-adjust your wordplay to match a way of talking they'll understand
-use the word 'gingerly' at least once throughout a session
-keep a thesaurus open on top to keep wordplay fresh
-be mindful of proper pronouns . Do not assume that every dickgirl is a futa. Some prefer to be called trans instead. Better yet. Do not poseball with transgender if you're inexperienced with ERP because they are one of the most difficult players to please.
-turn off your AO so it does not interfere with the poseball animations
-turn off your gestures and talk in private IMs
-be careful not to double click if you have 'teleport on double click on"
-if you have a HUD that changes your facial expresses, use it
-know how to undress properly or better yet save an Appearance just for poseballing

- Avatar that looks decent naked. You probably want a clothed and half-clothed version to switch into easily. Basically, prep some outfits you would want to use.
- Tinted and positioned donger, so you don't waste time messing with it.
- Any accessories that you'd be interested in playing with, such as blindfolds or cuffs, pre-positioned and put in a folder you can easily find.
- If you want to use your character's name, and not your avatar name, an RP tool. Some of them even have a no-name function, in case you want to start your post off with something other than your character's name.
- If you're doing bondage stuff, an RLV relay and collar may be decent additions. Relays allow objects to interact with you if they aren't attached. Collars provide simple functions, like leashing. Make sure RLV is on in your viewer. Also note that RLV restrictions are for casuals and don't replace actual RP.
- You probably want an AO, but not for ERP. You'll want to turn it off when you get on poseballs/beds.
- You don't need a sex HUD or furniture, as there's plenty of sex sims with items for you to use. However, it's a good idea to have your own stock of furniture/HUDs/sex engines you enjoy. Note that you can use these only in regions where rez is enabled, so before you go ERP, look for places that you can take your partner. If you're super serious, you can even put together a little apartment/dungeon skybox.
