Yeah, It doesn't take much effort, but there ARE issues I'm still working out.
The games play and run fine, but getting online and setting your controls is still something that most people can't figure out on their own and need me to walk them through it.
Which is ironic given that AC is sort of all about figuring things out yourself and customizing.
THESE ARE ALL THE KNOWN ISSUES WITH LAST RAVEN PORTABLE SO FAR:
Issues you can fixed by just changing settings permanently:
1. If your computer is weak, the game will run super choppy. Turn down rendering resolution for this from 4x (1080p) to 2x or lower. (720p/480p)
2. Direct3D backend is faster on most PCs, but doesn't work on all computers, so if you switch to it, you can get an error message, forcing you to use OpenGL
3. The default controls suck, and require players to set custom controls in PPSSPP and in-game to play with dual analog support and L2/R2.
4. To go online you have to randomize your in-game mac address so you don't have the same one as other players
Issues that require workarounds or can't be fixed:
1. (Unconfirmed) the online server is in NA, so network lag with EU/JP players might be too high for vs matches
2. If you map 2 buttons on your controller to do the same action in-game, it will throw off your replays. So you have to remove that mapping to watch the replays, then you have to add the mapping back in when you're ready to play.
3. Sometimes Coldbird.net will blink on and off and boot people for no reason from the network. You can tell because the status page won't reload properly
4. If you are online when coldbird boots you or resets, you have to exit the game entirely.
When everything works right, it works BEAUTIFULLY... but if any of those issues are happening, it can be a huge pain in the ass to fix. I'm still working on troubleshooting guides and figuring out all the issues so that it works reliably 95% of the time.
