Yeah, the SR-1 is awesome. I like it more than the SR-2. It feels more like a stealth frigate, and less like an unnecessarily large yacht. It's smaller and feels more intimate, and it doesn't waste huge areas of space. The Normandy shouldn't have gone past 150m longs, any longer than that and it's just too long.
I really like the Alliance cruisers, too. With the red lines, of course, not the shitty generic blue ones.

It would've been cooler if we had to go through the Gernsback a bit, and not just into a 10x10m area picking up supplies and audiologs. Actually having to go through a small part of it, and picking up audiologs about where its been, seeing more of a civilian ship design as you walk through it, etc.
Derelict ships are really awesome, and I wish they added more of them.

I agree. Make it a workhorse, imagine you start in ME1 with the standard one all shiny and pristine. In me2 collectors attack but the normandy barely survives, you patch her up. At this point it's pretty lived in, there's a still hidden under engineering and a cot in the cargo hold. Come ME3 it's a patched up heavily modified ship, full of esoteric upgrades and bizarre pieces of machinery salvaged from the rim surrounding the collector base. It has payload racks strung under its body, several tents in the bay for the new crew and four escape pods have been welded to the hull and converted into living spaces. A mantis gunship is squeezed in next to the mako and joker is piloting the vessel next to a huge AI core and a modified synth-human clerkbot clothed in old alliance fatigues that EDI inhabits.

I agree on both points, I really liked the red, the blue was just boring. ME3 had too much blue.
It's a cool ship, the bent spinal gun is a bit silly though.
I wish we could have seen more ship designs in ME3, imagine seizing some shipyard from cerberus and beginning to churn out dreadnought guns attached to modular freighters, no real barrier coverage, but lots of firepower cheap and quickly.
