So I was in my E2 and had a 30.01 ~75-100m away from me with the stock turret. Had my hull angled somewhere between 10 and 15 degrees. He was shooting AP and penned my upper plate about 4 times in a row, only bouncing when he got close and I forced him to shoot my side because of a building. Did he just get lucky and get super high pen rolls or something? IIRC you need 140-150 pen to go through the angled upper plate.

Yeah, because the gun arc of the CGC means it's playable on almost every map, not because the CGC is better. In pubs the CGC is the second worst of the tier 10 artillery's.

WG makes you research the same gun twice. WG loves doing that, I'm surprised there aren't also light/medium/heavy only variants.

They aren't exactly the same gun though, there are some differences to them.

Sorry, WG decided it would be a low alpha spamcannon so it would work out on the tier 5 S35 CA. Rather than take it away from the French TD (which has better guns anyway), they just left the pen and alpha the same for the Brits.
