increase your damage with rings and use hornet for the best crit animations in the game
the weapon art can tank a hit for literally anything, use that for a couple of L1s for massive damage and then chase them down with sprinting L1s to really make them feel the pain

You only have 2 viable choices, the dual katanas or gravewarden. latter being the better option.

Nothing can attack as fast as these to apply bleed and basically bleed on any other weapon is fucking worthless as even if you carthus a basic ass katana it will still take 5 hits proc and without the dual anime spam it will almost never happen in a duel.
