I still have very very low frames when i spawn this, and its only the legs and the frame.

Simspeed is the new hell.
When i lock the rotors in the wings it goes smooth and good, but when i unlock them simspeed goes to hell.

Post tonk, area doesn't seem that bad, at least 70% of it doesn't.

Don't know if this is obvious or dumb or actually helpful, but if you want fast land vehicles in FtD you need downward thrust on the front bits.

That might also help with handling rough terrain.

put some 2m slopes on the front like claws and put powered wheels in them like the manfactorum has.

with gyroscopic effect you can soften the weight of something in its front part, in cars, mostly fwd cars, you do this by going full gas on something, because it rises the front part.
If the game has that kind of physics, you can also do it with rockets, if not, it will be like spengines, it will soften the weight of everything.

I'm honestly not sure. I think that it took a rocket hit to the underbelly, which took out the refinery, which shit out the resources inside and then tore through the ship.

That's weird. I'm setting up ACBs to self-right the bus the way I do manually, by firing a broadside into the dirt, but for some reason even if I take the range limit off entirely only one side is actually getting triggered by "Weapons Systems -> Fire Weapons".

Not recreated the stop sign mechanism you had, but now can bumblefuck its way around this terrain in a hilariously violent manner, only occasionally getting stuck (usually because the AI rolls it again the moment it gets back up).

Oh man turns out I saved an earlier version. Finally got my game working. I added a thing too, a lil egg turret. It has an autocannon on it and I made the truck "amphibious" with a speed of 1.8 m/s which I think is fine. The autocannon doesnt even end up depleting the ammo reserves it refills so cheaply. It's "battle competent" now, or at least it should be. Let me know what you think. Theres no roof roller.

No sweat, the changes I made a pretty straightforward; dropped the wheels, made more of the underfloor lead to keep the CoM low (this helps immensely with it not rolling itself when firing upright), and set up a few ACBs for the self-right. Probably don't even need to copy across the last one.

I like the egg turret. Lost some of its bus shape, though; kinda like a Mk2 upgrade of it. I started working on a Big Rig for another sorta salvaged-y, slightly more capable land vehicle. Might see if this variant can be tweaked to fill some middle ground.

Does for me, alas. Put it into combat mode, spawn another bus or something owned by another factor. They'll drive into range of each-other, then give up moving, like the AI switches to broadside mode and promptly decides there's nowhere deep enough to go. Playing with the broadside sliders doesn't seem to change this much, though. Forcing the throttle up doesn't work entirely either; sometimes they give up steering too and just drive off into oblivion.

Neat. If only the AI stood a chance in hell of navigating that bridge.

Made an updated MG variant and a grenade launching variant of the halftrack. With the grenade variant's help, a pack of them can take down a SS tank. Though getting there is like watching demo derby. Seriously these fuckers love to dogpile things and ram the shit out of things.
