Is being a rich, famous actor all its hyped up to be or is it actually hard and depressing?

Is being a rich, famous actor all its hyped up to be or is it actually hard and depressing?

Yeah it sucks getting infinite pussy and being rich

That's why everyone always wishes they were broke and involuntarily celibate virgins.

You need patience as an actor.
Under hot lights why they try and remove the shadow cast from your nose, or make your eyes sparkle, or put the strawberries back on the plate you were eating before the last take.
When the First AD decides it's time suddenly you need to instantly get back into character and deliver the line the way the director wants. Even though the director majorly autistic and has no understanding of how people outside of movie actually behave.

Then there's the PR. The same bullshit, prepackaged statements about how you loved working with the director, the cast. For weeks on end for a film you finished working on months ago.

It's not that hard once you've made it. But you need so much self discipline even once you've made it.
If you love acting (i.e. playing pretend) and you have patience then it's great.

The ones who find something to do with their lives in something like charity reconnect with people and tend to lead fulfilling lives. The ones who lose themselves in tabloid alienation and meaningless sex are miserable.

fucking kek

>rich, famous actor

you're better off playing in casinos unless you're a handsome-as-fuck dude who can memorize lines like nothing and perform a character AND have connections to directors

actors have a 90%+ unemployment rate

Imagine having "infinite pussy" but your privacy is invaded to the point that you have to resort to hookers.

Being rich would be great being famous would be hell.

>actors have a 90%+ unemployment rate

The rich and famous part kind of negates that

They came from somewhere. Very few princelings go into acting.

Hollywood is highly jewish, and you will have to openly bash Trump and support Hillary or risk losing your wealth and career. You essentially sell your soul and your sense of self for money, and if you attempt to express your own opinions you will be exiled. Just look at what happened to Mel Gibson.

Most of us on Veeky Forums are jewish and don't mind openly "supporting" whoever if it makes us money.

Personally I'm Jewish and I don't give a fuck about politics, ill agree with whatever the person I'm talking to says to build rapport and make them feel I'm on their side.

How do you feel about getting snipped as a baby?

>Serious question

I'm only half Jewish actually and I was never circumsized because my dad didn't agree with it. Feels good man. I like to think of it as getting all the benefits with none of the downsides.

Being rich is great

Being famous is awful

Thats cool dude

It depends on who you are and how you go about it.
PROTIP: Stay away from hard drugs and Youtube comment sections.

This is the jewish mentality folks, no honor, no sense of patriotism, no self-respect. Shhhh... only shekels now...

i think the church took care of that for him

>Sheckleposting on the cryptosheckle containment board

stay poor

The smart ones get rich and get out.

I'm a Jew and I'm not like that.
>half Jewish
You've got Jewish relatives only on your father's side of the family? Congratulations, you're not Jewish.

it's unlikely that a jewish father would oppose circumcision more likely the mom was jew

> (You)
>>half Jewish
>You've got Jewish relatives only on your father's side of the family? Congratulations, you're not Jewish.

Jewishness is based on your mother's side and I was born in and lived in Israel for a good while. I would say I'm pretty jewish

If his mom is a Jew then he's not half Jewish, he's a full blown Jew. If it's his father, it doesn't count. A rabbi may tell you differently, with his hand on your shoulder, but you can forget about the Jewish nepotism, buddy.

>Jewishness is based on your mother's side
meh i think it's more of a mindset thing.
a jew that don't keep the traditions is fine genes matter not. it's like the difference between black people and niggers.

A friend of a friend is a well known actress. Don't care if you believe me. But she's a fucking mess and lives on Wellbutrin

I dont really think I'm full Jewish given how I don't uphold almost any religious traditions besides loving money

>difference between black people and niggers.

When will this meme end?

when niggers are no longer

Man, you got one thing on point. With Jews, there's a high emphasis on money. If you stick to tradition without being able to provide, you're a waste, obviously. If you get money, nobody gives a fuck. Us Jews are practical people

...

Its probably terrible. You're expected to travel everywhere and the paparazzi is breathing down your neck all the time. You have people talking shit about you all the time on TV or Online, and someone is always trying to photoshop something or stir up a scandal around your life. Then you can't even really enjoy your money because everything you'd buy is scrutinized and evaluated by people prying into your life, so really your possible choices become much more limited.

Being famous almost negates all the positives of being rich. So I guess if I was an actor, I'd put money aside for when I'm done with the acting bullshit, and then go into hiding for like 5 years until people forgot about me, grow a beard, get a new hairstyle, and then I'd start enjoying being rich far away from the area where I was famous.

All of this only matters if you care what people think of you

Well you have to care what people think of you if you want people to bother seeing your movies. Bad PR is a death sentence for an actor unless you flip it and go full Charlie Sheen. But even then, people would probably only support you if you are living the rich playboy lifestyle, not the "dickhead with media scandals that hoards all his money" lifestyle, thereby fucking up your income stream.

Compared to the patience and repetitive of pretty much most jobs that's not too bad.

More on what this guy said.

I was in the biz for 3 years.

It's a tough life. Always on the road, sleeping in a trailer, 12+ hr days, never the same sleep schedule, people poking and prodding you like an object, you feel like a trained monkey. Delivering the same line 30 - 50 times gets painfully annoying.

Then if you make it famous, you get stared at everywhere you go. It's hard to be left alone. You can't just go somewhere public and sit in peace.

But some of the times on set are fun as fuck. Costumes, explosions, stunts, aerial stuff. Getting to go to all the coolest and most exotic places on earth. Becoming a badass character. Going to the parties. And being rich obviously.

Ideally you can make plenty of money but still be very very low key off screen. A B+ level actor is the best position to be in. Steady work without the pain and trappings of fame.

Moving to Vancouver in September to make it big, see you boys in Hollywood!

If you are serious about entertainment, you have two choices: LA or NY.

All that stuff happening in other cities, all the casting and job placement comes from LA or NY.
