Gradually. They went down from like 1440 isk/lp a couple months ago. Explorers aren't dying fast enough to buy up all the exploration gear i guess. Plus everyone knows that if you are doing level 4 missions in highsec you HAVE TO DO Sisters of Eve because there is no other choices. except there is but don't tell anyone.

Also damn, can small ships dish out a lot of dps.
In retrospect, I should have just logged out when I noticed I was being scanned. Lesson learnt I guess.

Daniel Sanchez
~300mil in ~12k ehp. Not paper, but now that I know what dps suicide gankers are capable of, it was still a terribly low tank. I was moving a ton of ships through the same path and due to limited cargo space I had to squeeze all my assets into all ships, hence the sub-par tank. Didn't expect a gank, then again - you never can.
What's a DST? Deep space transport? The tanky industrials?

Jackson Lopez
obviously they can't gank absolutely everyone, but you are pushing your luck by trying it
Caleb Wood
No, manual warping can get you killed just the same, assuming the ganker isn't a retard.
If you use cloak+mwd trick that's another story though.
Eli Taylor
Is this what has EVE gone to? I swear it wasn't that bad a couple years ago.
I wasn't autopiloting. And this guy was pretty organized. Had his own industrials on gate to scoop loot and a scanner on at least one entry to the pipe.
I'm not sure if it's a good thing that I survived, he'll be out for vengeance for sure.
Levi Torres
>then again - you never can.
Nicholas Reed
>Deep space transport? The tanky industrials? Yes. You need racial (that's Gallente btw) industrial 5 to get into one. Then you need to tank it up. Also cargo expanders aren't very good on those because they don't affect the fleet hold, which is where most of the cargo space in them is.
The fleet hold is also useful because you can make is so fleet mates can open it directly.
Anthony Fisher
>I'm not sure if it's a good thing that I survived, he'll be out for vengeance for sure. Depends on the level of autism you are dealing with. Most of them are just out for easy money, so they won't even remember you as long as you remember not to actually communicate with them.

cost for a fully fitted tornado = 120mil for 12.000 alpha >10.000 ISK per EHP you can bring in 10mil for every 1k EHP you can double that, 20 mil per 1k EHP, if you wanna bet on the 50% loot drop rate and the ganker isn't a retard
Nathan Turner
> tornado That's one ship class too high, m8.
A vexor can do it.

Mandelore stop posting this in every thread
Christopher Peterson
Catalysts are the most common, but a vexor can go up to ~1k DPS for ~30 million, while a tornado has the benefit of having huge alpha and only needing to shoot once or twice, which means that its paper DPS doesn't work as it seems.
Either way works, but 100mil/10kEHP is still the proper way to go about it.
Joseph Hernandez
>over 50k hangar space untrained Who needs cargo expanders? All I'm doing is small time
David Bailey
A catalyst is not really appropriate for this kind of ganking.
500m range means you will need to be right on top of him and he can spawn anywhere around the gate, so you'll have to burn 10-12 km. He might have aligned and warped at that point.

>blockade runners I was always wondering - how do cloaks work? On other players' grids I mean.
Do I disappear the moment I click it or after the animation finishes? Also can you cloak if you're being targeted?
I know only of the 2000m restriction, but it can't be the only one, can it? I'm super confus.
Xavier Wilson
>Do I disappear the moment I click it or after the animation finishes?
IIRC you become untargetable as soon as the server recognizes you pressed cloak. Your ship bracket doesn't actually disappear from other players' overviews until the animation actually finishes however (+/- 1 second or so)
Thomas Gomez
the best gank ship is a maller or a fleet of mallers
Leo Martin
>can you cloak if you're being targeted? If you're in the process of being targeted you can still cloak and their targeting will fail.
If you're already locked then no, you cannot cloak.
Jacob Mitchell
Generally speaking, I made good use of courier contracts before I trained up a DST character on my account. That 1-2plex + 200 million for the DST itself + modules and you still have to only plex 1 account when you're done.
For courier contracts, either google Red Frog Freight or join "haulers channel" ingame and read the MOTD.
DSTs are best left to out of corp alts so you can move shit while you're wardecked.
You hit the button and you disappear. The only varying factor here is lag - you can still get locked before you cloak if you're really unlucky.
Colton Sullivan
you disappear from overview a few seconds after pressing it, but once it's pressed, if people try to lock you, they will be unable to and it'll say you're invulnerable or you don't exist or something
if someone is in the process of targeting you you can cloak and their lock will fail. if you are already targeted, i.e. yellow or red boxed, you cannot cloak
Jason Smith
Sweet. Thanks guys. Cloaking sounds like something I want to train asap. Now I know the true power of cloak + mwd trick.
Nicholas Perez
the covops cloak on the blockade runner is even more foolproof. but yeah cloaking is real op, and both types of t2 industrials are really good

Why is there only one type of viable non aggressive support role (RR)? OGB doesn't count. Remote seboing/tracking links come close, but these don't have dedicated fittings for the job, just some weird mutants that aren't combat worthy.
I'd love to see a fleet composition where members are paired up - SP intensive "big ship" guy with a small support guy and they together form a more formidable foe than two crap DPS fits. Knowing CCP this will never happen. But why? It sounds like a fun idea on paper.
Landon Russell
with what they're doing to ogb maybe they'll make some more interesting stuff for boosting allies, like an area effect remote tracking computer or something, or a module you can target to multiple people
Henry Stewart
Yeah but it'll be pretty passive - put one buffing module on auto-cycle and play the rest of the engagement like you would in a normal fit. I was thinking of something more active (like RR is now), though I have no idea how that'd work.
Jayden Sanders
I'm hoping that the ship running a link module gets fucked on it's cap, so you need to either cap chain it or time the effect for when its best. Also encourages counterplay in neuts/damps
William Perry
Rest in peace, Ashurman.

Kayden Anderson
Here's the dream for links. Link modules are like Siege/Triage. When activated, provides the link bonuses to all allied ships that are locked. Can't move, significant boosts to self logi, can't receive remote logi.
>people just calculate how much alpha/dps it takes to destroy an immovable linkship through its reps >always carry one gay setup to blap it off the field first thing >side that doesn't bring gay blap setup loses links from start and has to face links

EVE pvp has gone to shit when killboards became popular (about the time wormholes were implemented). People (some people) started trying so hard to score kills that the lengths they'll go to secure kills know no bounds. Guess this is what happens when you mix autism with pvp.
But what can you do? It's EVE. That's what this game is about after all.
Jason Peterson
>EVE pvp has gone to shit when killboards became popular (about the time wormholes were implemented)

No, Zkillboard is the collaboration of information extracted from API's.
If Zkillboard didn't exist people would still gawk about their kills and efficiency because that stuff is available through the API anyway.
