Did you ever actually read what he says there? He's not telling anyone to write fanfiction.

All he says is that what will the game fun will be that people can imagine their characters to be whatever they want, so something like a game over will be a different scene for everyone because of how they IMAGINE it.

So what's with the absolute draught of EO5 characters who use cut attacks?
Looking at the list we have a maybe on Fencers (as they never let the swordsman class go one-weaponed) and the only absolutes are Reapers and Masurao.

I think the problem is coming from the fact that most classes appear to only use one type of weapon. Can any class in EO5 use more than one weapon type?

Excluding Elves and Brownies, the physical damage types are evenly split. 2 Stabbers(Fencer and Hound), 2 Bashers(Cestus and Dragoon), and 2 slashers(Masurao, Reaper, and Fencer, but Fencer's attack skills will probably all be tied to Rapier, so it doesn't really count.)

4 of those Bash classes are probably going to do single digit damage throughout most of the game, so they don't really count. That's like saying there are 10 slash users because everyone can use daggers.

The charge thing warlocks apparently have I don't know enough moon to go through the streams some kind of charge system for their bigger spells.
That's probably what they have to keep themselves on the more interesting side instead of just a few skills that only work on the front line.
