i like the backscatter, but i don't use it because i fell for the orange jew

i wish i had a strange backscatter with crit kills part so i could see how many people i got with the minicrit

Backscatter is sorta like the Spy's knife for Scout, as it rewards you for flanking, but is bad for head-on combat because you lack two shots.

You can get minicrits at semi-close/mid range, and it can 1 shot 125 classes at close range from behind, and can leave anyone else with 175 and below with abysmal amounts of health.
You can also do that retarded thing Spy does and get minicrits on people by making them turn their hitboxes in weird directions. I don't really notice the increased spread too much, though.

The backscatter is actually really legit

Ignoring the coding aspect, multi painted cosmetics would be incredibly hard to sell. People are already stingy about paints, so having to pay for two would most likely be a massive turn-off. The only way you'd be able to sell it easily is to disregard both paints, which is too great a loss for any sane seller. That means no buyers, and no sellers. Unless you planned to keep the hat forever, its a risky and generally retarded investment to make that only hinders the economy, but valve would probably implement it because they can sell more paint that way.
Ignoring trading, the most likely result is that people will ruin their items with cheap, shitty paint for no good reason and insult your eyes even more. That's not a very inviting prospect to me.

Play spy at least ten times and practice walking among the enemy without them suspecting that you are a spy. The trick is how you move your camera. Most spies keep there camera still, which gives you away because only snipers and spies move like that. What you want to do is move your camera left and right as though you're looking for targets to shoot on the enemy team. This fools them everytimes. I've killed many a medic that have turned their backs on what they thought were teammates — but in fact it was a spy.
