armor is more effective against a lot of single damage instances like tracer pistols or S76 rifle, but worse against shit like rockets, widowmaker, grenades, etc.

Raw HP is the base, everyone has it and it doesn't regen.

Armour go ontop of that. Every hit they absorb reduces damage by about 5 points. So they're amazing against Tracer and 76, but useless against Pharah and Widowmaker.

Shields are your first line of defence and go on top of armour. They will regenerate if not completely destroyed and act like health otherwise.

D.Va's headshot hitbox is literally half her entire front. It's incredibley easy to get headshots on her.

Don't forget ctrl+shift+r gives you fps and ping in the top left

Why is Genji so god damn fun? Have they released any other heroes that have a similar up-close/melee/mobile-as-fuck playstyle?I can't seem to enjoy playing anything else unless its that style.

There is also the downside that you're back on the matchmaking coinflip if you got matched with a good team on the previous game.

I want to get better with him but I always get sucked into playing tank/healer. Everyone always picks the shittiest team comps and I can't make myself not pick something we need in order to even out the team.

Just lost a game in Ilios against 4 Tracers. That shit is just lame, what is supposed to counter that? Tried Winston but obviously not, later on tried Pharah for the vertical advantage, but obviously not.

You other waifufags wish you had it this good, not only is mei top tier as a character but she is already incredibly good in pubs. Since this game is a joke and will never be viewed as a serious esport by anyone worth listening to the only balance that matters is pub play. The constant whining and low pick rate in comp will mean she will eventually get unnecessary buffs that will make her even more broken against pubs. That or everyone else that can do well against her will keep getting nerfed until they stop being counters alltogether.

It already happened with zenyata who was very good against her, soon it will happen with mcnigger.

The truth about her is that in pubs she only does poorly ONLY against a good mcree that knows how to combo, otherwise nobody can even come close to touching her.

He is mobile as fuck, you obviously have no idea about using his double jump and wall climb to launch yourself across surfaces.

Yeah, I actually play her when I need to fill a defense hero since she feels great to play, but I am more of an offense hero player.

M1 is never going to kill a half-decent Tracer, you can only hope to hit a M2 headshot.

Also just to add on the whole matter, the PotG plus all the other filler stuff (picking hero, prep time, cards) consumes a lot of time when a game lasts on average 5 minutes and the filler 1 to 1:30 minutes. Literally extra 20% of the time you spent actually playing is filler.

Hopefully Reddit will cry about that soon enough after release or even after this beta.

My team had 3 McCrees at one point, but for that to work I'm guessing you need to have some proper dexterity and aiming. Some shitters playing McCree wont counter the 4 fucking tracers

I don't see how, maybe if you get a lucky transform, but as soon as you lose your position once, it'll be impossible to set up again.

Tracer would be your best bet. Still super squishy, but performing hit and runs, super mobile and super annoying. Except you're at medium range not melee.

Kind of an odd question but did everyone get starting gold when open beta hit? I had like 250 gold when i came in, had only played in the two stress tests, so I can't tell if it was from there or I highly doubt I got 250g that I didn't notice from boxes.

Yeah, I tried her and I can't play her. She just feels off, and I have no idea how to put it into words. Maybe because I played genji so i am used to being up in their face, but I cant get the optimal range on her right to get a kill and back out, instead of constantly hitting-and-running and eventually failing.
Like any other tank, you're best bet is too stay with the team and Dash+Shield and break up their front-lines and mess with their back-line as much as possible before your mecha dies and you (rarely) get away

Be aggressive but don't stick around too long. You're thick enough to duel someone but if 2 people tag along then use your barrier and retreat. Don't pick her as the team's only sole tank.

Play her as a disruptor. Fly into the steady stream of re-spawning enemies to distract them, or jump on the enemy Mercy/Hanzo/Widowmaker's dick and make their life fun for the entire game.

if you're a halfway decent genji you can assassinate all of their snipers/supports so your team has a much better chance of just bursting their tank down

She's easily dealt with even in pubs, the semi-open beta decreased the average skill level by a fucking lot so it's easy to think that a mediocre faceroll character is somehow good.
If Blizzard doesn't buff her she will be absolute trash once players go from potato-tier to tomato-tier in a few months.

I dunno if it really does anything, but I fly in, try and hit someone before I land, then unload on them while they're disoriented. I've taken out Bastions with Mercy's healing them this way.

You never want to go in from the front either, because everyone expects a flying NERF THIS, so use your flight to flank. Shits off cooldown often, so there's no excuse for you not to be flying around the map.

poke him with shurikens in his core so he turns around (away from the rein shield)
deflect the bastion to melt him in less than a second
proceed to harass and or kill the mercy

if the bastion is good he wont fire while you're deflecting but if you coordinate with your team, they can all pounce on the enemy while the bastion is looking at you

genji is also super hard to hit so you can just bounce around and keep poking the bastion's core or the mercy's face

mei is ok on attack she can wall off a bastion and wall off people rushing back to contest
