How about you play games for the games and not for the community. Each sales insures that CH makes another game and that is all the matters to me in the end, even as someone that bout the game on ps4.

I can't argue with that and the damage it's done to the fanbase is regrettable, though at the same time the PC ports mean that I was able to get a whole lot more people I know to play the games and come to love them. It's a double-edged sword and with how excited people I showed the announcement to were, I think I can take it.

I loved every second of it, but it was my first Disgaea game. The SRPG aspect is quite in-depth, the levelling/grinding aspect is VERY in-depth, and the writing was light-hearted and funny.
The main story is straight-faced chuuni, though, which is probably where criticism stems from, but I don't mind a bit of chuuni every once in a while.

Most of the steamfags I've encountered are exactly what I've described them as. There are a few within the group that actually do care for Neps, and I respect them.
The gameplay isn't the hooker of the series though. It's the characters and the interactions between them. VII certainly improved the gameplay though, and it's great.
