It's completely different than the other difficulties.

Not only because of the added actual survival elements, but in terms of damage calculation as well.
While old Survival just insanely boosted enemy HP and damage, while reducing your own damage, the new Survival boosts enemy damage as well as yours (extremely so too, due to the Adrenaline perk), while keeping the enemy HP rather low/equal - making it a bit more realistic, as in, you can instantly kill Legendary enemies with a high-caliber head-shot, but you'll most likely die to a shitty pipe-pistol bullet to the head as well, when you're not wearing a helmet.
That is, when your level is high enough to have somewhat of a build going on; at low levels it's not uncommon to get one-shot by some dog as well.

Also, once you activate Survival Mode, your character is stuck in it. You can't switch back to lower difficulties, unless you load an older save prior to activating Survival.

INT 8 or 7, so you can have easy access to Quantum Physicist and SCIENCE! Make sure you raid the Boston Library quickish for that Int Bobblehead.

Then Agi 2 and Str 5, for Commando and Heavy Gunner, so you can get loadsa bonus damage for either the minigun or the Gatling Laser.

Any left overs put wherever. Maybe Endurance. Up to you.

a) bring her to another PA and tell him to get in it
b) try to pickpocket the Fusion Core out of the PA
c) use showinventory to figure out if it can be uneqipped

Okay, I get trying to make it all "flying platform" to give build freedom, but I REALLY think the whole "Scrapyard shack with rockets strapped to it" isn't the best way to go about it.

I would reccomend basically taking the Pyrwedyn's gas bags (hell, even the whole thing.) make a second one, add rockets to the those and suspend a large platform between the two of them. A heavy-duty industrial platform.

Also, a settlement like that, for the purposes of immersion, will need things like built a built in water supply so you don't have the awkward situation of roleplayers needing to stick water pumps into garden plots.
