Things like this work in CS:GO because anyone can play the maps in casual babby mode but if they want to play comp they need to shell out like $3 or $4. If there's a way for people to play 1 or 2 games a day, for example, and then an unlimited number for a small fee it could be really good.
You need to make it free at least to some extent because if you don't, then you won't have enough players for EC to be fun at all, and then nobody will play it. You need that initial seed of players for EC events to work.

sidenote, I've been playing on ULQ a bunch the last week (shitty laptop, it can't handle anything better and even ULQ drops frames with lots of trees) and they actually legitimately seem to have fixed it.
In fact, I'd even consider ULQ a disadvantage now because you literally can't see through the bush sprites in ULQ like you can (somewhat) on higher graphics settings.
However, I still get bullshit sniped by people from across the map through brush and trees. What gives? Are people cheating with aimbot/esp/enabling arcade babby mode or are they using gigaslav?
