Is the straight sword hate overblown? Yeah, they are pretty good for going through the game, but is there anyone who actually mains a straight sword for PvP? I just don't see the appeal. You have no range so you can't manage the area against a 2 or 3 opponents which is crucial to win a gank. You have no alpha damage so you can't really win trades against big weapons. They are decent weapons but I fail to see how anyone competitively minded would main one of these weapons on a quality build when you have so many fucking options.

That said I've been off-handing a longsword and I really like its WA, it's a nice way to change the pace of the fight if I'm not having any success with my BKGS

Nameless King is objectively the best. Champ Gundyr is good too. Princes are better than Dragonslayer Armour too. And Pontiff. And Aldrich. So he is The 5th best. No wait, Ocerious is cooler, just not hard, but neither is Dragonslayer. So 6th. 6th best.

I use the Caestus to parry and I use Yhorm's but I don't use Hornet ring in duels. I'm starting to think I should though cause everyone else does. Luckily I have enough Vig to not get one shot by it now, but it still fucking blows.

Also, if so far I've been doing a Dex+Offhand Pyro/Miracles supplement build. Mainly using Carthus Shotel, but is the Greatsword class a viable weapon class for me with 25 STR or should I switch? I kind of like the Sword of Judgement but I wasn't sure if I needed to reallocate if I wanted to be able flex between my shotel and that great-sword.

Also, where should I stop on my primary STR/DEX stat this time around? I was previously told that I could get INT/FAI to 25 to use them as an acceptable combat supplement, but I was never quite sure on the primary stats.
