C. Vincent here and I use FRAPS, it's not efficient in file size for anything over 30 seconds ish but I also use Handbreak if I need to reduce on size.

Not really. Long recovery time on swings, large stamina usage and not enough bleed to make it happen fast enough(unless you burn a carthus every time you engage). I will say it breaks shields pretty nice, but anyone worth a shit is going to parry you doing that anyway.

What are some good Great hammers / Great Axes for pvp?

I've been rollling witht he claymore / Astora Great sword so far but I've only used GS' for the last two souls games and have been looking to get into something actually fun

It feels like my STR/INT build isn't going all too well

I have about 40 INT and 16 STR, using the MLGS+4 and a Raw Broadsword + 10 that I pair with CMW/GMW but I still only do poke damage to enemies that aren't generic undead and bosses. Plus I was stuck at Dragonslayer Armour for the longest time because one attack could kill me even though I have 27 VGR

Is there any weapon or stat direction I should be considering?

Use Caestus for R1 1H sword shitters. Still not a guarantee but you'll at least parry more often than with a Small Shield.

I was pretty salty. I didn't bother checking exact stats but I figured free AR was worth putting it on for. Pic related was my reaction when I found out I was wasting a slot on it for 3.5 playthroughs of the game.
