-She is COMPARED (例えられた) to a goddess of fertility and bounty, and this wording means that she is most definitely not said goddess. ("Revered as" probably tried to convey this but apparently it wasn't enough)

-The wording for "disappeared" (姿を消した) implies that she did so of her own accord.

Deacons is one of my favourite bosses desu.

The immersion I experienced during the Deacons fight was amazing, I'd summoned Anri and Horace and just the feeling of the 3 of us fighting against overwhelming odds, that music perfectly captures that feeling, without even making a point of it I found myself trying my absolute best to protect both of them.

Horace would always try and take on way to many at once and Anri would keep getting split up from him and trying their best to fight their way back over to his side, fucking 10/10 boss fight for me, even if it was very mechanically simple.

But what´s the black stuff that comes out of gundyr and those hollows? is that even explained?

One of the item descriptions mentioning Gertrude explains that she's believed to be a child of the Queen of Lothric, and her official title is Gertrude, the "Heavenly Daughter."

That's a pretty strong implication that the Queen is Gwynevere.
