1. In patch 0.5.5., several ships were changed, in particular a few torpedoes. The thing is that on some DD's I don't need Torpedo Acceleration, and on others, I do.
Thus, I need to spend doubloons to respec my captains! Why weren't the changes tied up with a free captain respec?

A. The skill is working as intended and in this case, we didn't believe a free respec was needed. On the other hand, it will likely come in patch 0.5.6., in addition to other changes. We don't need to give free captain respec with every change we make to ships characteristics or captain skills. We consider each case separately and make a decision based on that.

It might've been easy for CV but it was perfectly fine for surface vessels, which are like 90%+ of players. If anything it was still too hard to get at lower tiers. Now it's just outright impossible most of the time, even more so at high tiers.

Also to add, if you made it 50% of enemy CV's aircraft only, that is still a requirement of 68 plane kills against a single Midway, 136 kills against two. It's still way too hard to get at high tiers.

Honestly no idea. My guess is that I probably bullied more DDs than BBs or something. So while 5k or so damage on a DD was enough to clear the Confed requirement for one ship, it wasn't enough for the total pool needed for High Caliber.

50% of enemy CV aircraft means Bogue v Bogue only needs to shoot down 12-14 planes for Clear Skies.It really is a bitch to balance isn't it? That's why 30 flat seemed fine enough.
