What are some good games I can emulate on a shitty phone? Keep in mind that I have no ext device so I'm bound to shitty touch controls. No pokemon or fire emblem.

With perspective correct mapping Harry is no longer deformed though we still need Z buffer.

Why don't they actually make it like Dolphin. It wouldn't even be hard.

>icon
>title
>developer
>region
>size

I don't get why they would include the filename like that. Also, file type is kind of pointless. Why would you even have ncch?

Information nobody really cares about and is otherwise shilled to them by the original OS?

Only thing required is title, icon improves recognition. Might as well add cover flow and call it a day.

>having the developer's name is shilling

You are completely fucking retarded.

Let me be clear about it: I do not condone adware at all. It isn't acceptable by any means.
However it's not like I have a choice. I would choose Project64 over mupen64plus simply because it has a better codebase and better compatibility overall. N64 emulation is still shit.

Though if anyone wants to make a new N64 emulator in the likes of PJ64 and m64p, I'd be looking forward for it.

>It's a risk that you have to find out about and then bypass yourself.
It's not that hard to find out there is a problem. Browsers blocks the download page, if that's not enough, literally blocks the download itself.

>It's going to struggle in performance with certain titles anyway.
Who says that LLE plugin going to struggle in performance when it's already much faster than angrylion unoptimized? Honestly if I want to make sure a game works without changing plugins/settings every few minutes, I'm totally for it.

...

touhou

Ayyy

I'm trying to run Dokapon kingdom on Dolphin but I can't get past this field explanation screen. The buttons work fine for the rest of the screens and I've tried reconnecting my game pad with Alt+F5 but nothing works.
Has anyone else experienced this sort of problem?

>Someone suggested running PCSX2 on a windows XP PC.

If you have windows 8 just fucking set it to windows XP service pack 3 compatibility mode dumbass.

Worked for me atleast.

[21:28] please explain why you dont code anymore ?
[21:28] because end users are insufferable
[21:28] and the emulator scene is nothing but a bunch of sellouts
[21:28] and byuu made me angry
[21:28] Angry about emulators

Where is that from?

IRC

>one week without turtle

Literally worse than drug withdrawal

What the fuck is he on about? 0-o

He answered the question you illiterate clown

Elaborate or get fucked; I don't much care which.

>angry
>angry about emulators
pretty sure he's just joking around.

I would hope so. With all the talk that gets lobbed about regarding being a sellout I see precious little evidence of changed intent from any of the major emulator authors. They all seem just as committed to a wholesale rejection of commercialism, a stance which warms my heart.

...

>somebody went to all the effort of undubbing P3 and P4
>nobody's made an iso for P4 with golden content modded in from P4G

I know very little about emulation and how console games work but I know that iso files for games on consoles are readily available even when the consoles themselves have no functional emulator. How monumental of a task would it be to do something like that?

Nice

>How monumental of a task would it be to do something like that?

Damn near impossible

Any turn-based/strategy game

That's like saying that your post is "from the Internet"

That tells me nothing.

Post yfw Dolphin is the most accurate N64 emulator of all time.

Hello fellow Yoko Taro fan.

>The one puzzle I can actually decipher the runes for
>You can still blatantly tell it's Cinderella without reading

fuck

Considering how:

-The Vita is not hacked

-Vita games can't be dumped yet, let alone decrypted

-You would need the source of Persona 4 for the PS2 to make such intense changes to it at this point

It's possible, but good luck achieving it in our lifetimes. Just buy the Vita, you can get the superior 1000 models with the OLED screen for pretty cheap these days, and P4G is always on sale on Amazon for under $20

no, you're stupid as fuck, read it again

Eat a dick.

Yeah it's not like buying a vita isn't an option for me, I've got plenty of money it's just that I'm not going out of my way to buy a whole new console/handheld just for "that one there exclusive game I want to play". I'd need like at least five games to catch my eye before I'd consider even getting a cheap handheld.

Eat my dick.

I don't have an AIDS fetish, cocksuck.

>mudlord
>joking

You can dump decrypted games tho

Anyone know why Citra keeps telling me I'm missing MSVCP140.dll? I have the Visual Studio C++ 2015 x86 installed, and have tried repairing and even uninstalling->reinstalling it, but to no avail. Searching it up on c drive doesn't help since I have 3 versions all different file sizes and I have no idea which to even attempt to copy over.

>I have the Visual Studio C++ 2015 x86 installed
>x86

Ugh, are they shitting up that codebase too with the Microsoft fucking garbage?

Fuck, hrydgard/Citra/Dolphin faggots are all this incompetent fucks. No wonder CEmu keeps 'winning'.

If x64 is for 64 bit then what's x86 for? I've never even heard of 86-bit in anything before.

All the videos on youtube and stuff use the x86 though, I wonder why it works for them.

I'm dying

Whats the best emulator to use for PS1 games?

x86 is 32bit. not sure why it's called 86 lol.

>Who says that LLE plugin going to struggle in performance when it's already much faster than angrylion unoptimized?
Me.. Unless you have a really good cpu, you're going to get bad performance in certain titles. z64gl is already much faster than angrylion's. The vulkan plugin may be "unoptimized", but it's also not accurate/complete yet, which means it could get slower.

>x86 is 32bit. not sure why it's called 86 lol.

I swear to god these fuckers who name things do it deliberately to fuck with scrubs like me.

Me too, I can't believe half my shit is running the wrong version.

x64 technically doesn't exist. Normally it's called x86-64, but it's just better to say x64.

x86 is technically the architecture of the CPU you're using. Because back then, there was the Intel 8086 CPU. Since then, this CPU has been updated with faster clock speeds, more pipelines, expanded instruction sets... including 32-bit, and then 64-bit support.
We call it x86 because the CPU ID usually ends with 86. But it doesn't mean the number of bits.

We say x86 like we say PPC, ARM, etc...

Holy shit, do you people know absolutely fucking NOTHING about hardware history?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_80386

Jesus pig-fucking Christ.

>x86 is 32bit. not sure why it's called 86 lol.

It's a generic name for a series of CPU made by Intel, starting with the 16bit 8086. Since all the CPUs ended in ~86 and were backward-compatible they were collectivelly called x86.

These days x86 generally means a CPU implementing the IA32 instruction set while x86-64 is for CPUs implementing the AMD64 instruction set. Some people also call it "x64" but that's obviously historically meaningless since the x doesn't stand for anything here.

So it can be misleading for newcomers but saying only 32 and 64bits wouldn't be much better since many different instruction sets can be 32 or 64bit.

It comes from the Intel 8086.

"x64" or "amd64" are actually x86-64.

Can toasters even run emulators like cemu/citra at all? I remember trying out Fire Emblem on Citra and I could finish a battle on Dolphin before I could even get past the title screen on Citra.

Or you can just learn shit from this dude's post.

That works too, I guess...

I don't know the history of locomotives and space shuttles either, don't fret.

Fuck off retard, nobody cares about your shit taste and ability to buy a new console.

WELL WHY THE FUCK NOT???

They're actually pretty goddamned incredible, my wee baka senpai.

I'm saving all that in my back log for when I finish my time machine of course. Don't wanna spoil myself.

gonna write that nes jitter (^:

JITTERBUG! 8D

Read the post I replied to before you sperg out. I swear this site has at least ten dedicated lurkers per board who have nothing better to do than to scan threads for moments to satisfy their neurotic compulsion to make angry, pointless interjections while not even participating in the chain of discussion at any previous time. Do you just want to feel like you fit in with le ebin angry banter 'board culture' like the other cool Veeky Forums kids?

no i mean a recompiler

(You)

You can use any controller with Dokapon. GC, Wiimote, Classic controller. Try them all.
Are you playing on your own or with friends? Me and my friends had so much fun with this. Still need to finish it some day.

Try checking "Alternate WiiMote Timing" under the game's properties

This one goes in the "Exasperated Whiner" section of my INTERTUBEZ SCRAPBOOK (TM). I'd greatly appreciate it if you could hop on webcam and show me the tears undoubtedly about to run down your cheeks as well. It greatly flavors the moment.

...You're actually autistic, aren't you?

...Not just in the Veeky Forums sense, I mean.

i don't think so

On a scale from 1 to Pepe, how comfortable are you with being an emugen regular now?

Why do autists tend to like that face manipulation game on Mario 64?

>Can toasters even run emulators like cemu/citra at all?
no

Mednafen beetle on retroarch.
It's the most accurate and has some alright graphics and speed hacks. You'll need a fairly good PC though.

OP here, it's fun.

It was the first thing I could think of to grab for the thread. Feel free to make a better one next time.

So what is happening did Simias ditch rutation?

github.com/simias/rustation/commits/master

Until something better comes using anything other than PCSXR with perspective correction makes no sense.

Hopefully. He's a much better contributor to mednafen.

It's beautiful.
help

Emulator? Plugins? Did you at least consult the goddamn wiki first?

>. You'll need a fairly good PC though.

Even my fucking 2005 PC runs it

The reason he says that is because a lot of craptops with i3s won't run it

>You'll need a PC made after 2006 to run it

Fix'd. Sadly, we still have BRs and other third-worlders running Pentium 4s.

Mupen64plus on retroarch. Nothing on compatability on the wiki.

Oh and I just have plugins set to auto. Will that not pick the one with best compatability for the game?

Nothing that you see in either emulator right now is worth drawing conclusions about the future over, but NO, toasters are not going to emulate recent hardware. Those emus are not even developed enough for end-users to have fun with period, let alone on bad PCs.

Unfortunately no. IIRC auto will pick plugins depending on what you have the "GFX Accuracy" setting set to. If everything is set to default, accuracy is probably set to medium, which I believe sets Rice as the video plugin, and it sucks for a lot of games. Try manually setting it to Glide64 instead. As for RSP, it can safely be set to HLE for a lot of games, but if in doubt, set it to CXD4.

Alrighty, didn't realise that auto wasn't very clever. I'll just have to play around and find the best core for it. Will try glide.
Here's to hoping that this new plugin that's in development with vulcan will just work tm.

If it's based on Angrylion, it WILL just werk for pretty much everything once it's complete.

When configuring controls, button press act as both P1 & P2's inputs on the same pad. Can anyone explain why this is happening? I'm using a DS4 via DS4Windows.

Are you emulating it as an XInput or something? It may be registering in MAME as both an Xbox controller and a generic HID or PS4 controller.

I'm emulating Xinput using a DS4. I think the same thing happened even when using a DS4 without DS4windows

If he is no longer working on rustation then that means he ditched both. He only ported things from rustation to mednafen.

Maybe he just has some real life stuff to take care of?

Check the 'Hide DS4 Controller' option in DS4windows.

"He only ever did X in the past, he could never suddenly decide to just do Y instead!!!".

Do you see the flaw inherent in your logic?

It's called Dark Souls 3, user.

Destroyer of Emulator Projects

Nah, I'm just not in a coding mood lately. The weather is good and I got my new motorcycle, I don't feel like spending all day looking at a screen.

That and I'm still slowly investigating this weird MDEC bug and it takes time to figure out what needs to be done.

Simias spends his days riding his motorcycle and playing Dark Souls III like a normal person and ends up creating Rustation, the savior of PSX emulation

Turtle spends his days trying to convince people who don't know any better that he's a dev and only makes commits to tidy up readme files like a weird autist, and ends up getting unrelenting testicular pain

Truly, a modern re-telling of Goofus and Gallant

> Dark Souls
