If your target is unarmed and not wearing eye protection/EVA helmet use your flash. If you get disarmed it can't be used against you and in the heat of the moment those failed attempts to flash you will be hits you don't take and buy you time to get the upper hand.

If your target is down on the ground make sure you click exactly on their sprite, or your taserbolt/laser/bullets will whiff over them.

Always flashbang if you're alone against a group. Always flashbang against targets with lethal weapons like revolvers and assault rifles if they've fired the first shot already.

Stun revolvers have around two extra shots than your basic taser. This can really screw peoples rhythm who don't know this in the heat of the moment, who dodge the first six shots and think they're home free.

Typically when brigging people, you let them keep their earpieces/PDAs and you uncuff them before you leave them in their cell. If they've been reading Woody's got Wood/Trying to incite a riot, you can confiscate the radio, if they've proved violent, flash before you pull the cuffs off and flash them again when you grab the cuffs, and if they're in perma/have a buddy hanging around outside, you can confiscate the PDA.

Simple quality of life tip: Set the timer before you walk the prisoner in. They'll appreciate the timer going down as soon as they're dragged into the cell, and it saves you walking in and out to uncuff/lock the locker in there.

Can you secHUD people to arrest when you've been stun talismaned or stung?

In your downtime, get welding goggles from sci or eng and the industrial welders from eng and I think mechanics and box it. If it's a shit round, you can fill containers with welder fuel and box it
Find door, apc, and air alarm wires in downtime
Be familiar with deconstruction, construction, false walls
Know how to fix a shorted apc, pulse an unnecessary apc to find the unlock wire and how to swap in a fresh power cell.
If the air alarm plasma alert flashes, hack or swipe your id and shut off the vents asap. You can save yourself. If you're lucky, you got it soon enough that the scrubbers can scrub and you can safely weld the exterior so you don't get killed.
Know basic telesci. Calibration, reading the crew monitor, changing z-levels, using GPS so you can teleport corpses back
Always get dem fukken magboots. If you can't, use a chair, locker, or roller chair to get around and hopefully reduce the times you get wrecked by airflow.
Robotics control is in tech storage and you can make them elsewhere with access you should have gotten.

If you get aids, get to chemistry, rotating windows and flipping tables if you must. Take a blood sample for identifying it in viro later. Make a 15u spaceacillin and take it to halt the symptoms and progression for 10ish minutes. Make 10u radium, 20u arith, 90u tricord, 90u dex+, 90u antitox. Take the arith, tricord, and dex plus. Then the radium. The disease will be cured before the radium runs out 95%. Then take the antitox to prevent liver damage. Thanks for reminding me. If a borg goes mia, use the sec camera console to locate it. Even if its camera is toast you can get a good enough look to get a hard teleport if you know your telesci. If it's not on cameras, check the crew monitor and other z-levels to see if it got spaced. If you're lucky, it wasn't deconned and you can teleport it back Not sure if emagging pulls you from the camera list.

If you're a legit borg/roboticist, let sec know if you put in an illegal equipment module. It damages your interface and can get you scrapped if a nutjob notices.

Get somebody the pinpointer so the disk can be found in an emergency. If it's malf, the pinpointer points to the APC the AI shunted to.
Look on the cameras list for [location] (Deactivated) for a big red flag that someone is being an ass. On the advanced, be aware of where cameras should be for when someone aces the vacant office or something. There's a space advanced camera board in tech storage.

Can rip a smoking hot milf's nipples off by checking cameras for common hacking places, nothing like seeing a blue APC in xenobio, the AI core, the messaging server (AI core integ restorer) or cyborg charging, or R&D server room. I do it 'fairly often' when I nigger the bridge camera console as CMO or build one as a roboticist.
