Is the Dagger a good switch-to weapon for counters?

I noticed that it has a 130crit and I figured if you +10 and buff it before the stab, it would do work.

Anyone know? I need to know if it's like DS2 in that, a dagger can do like 1200 dmg.

I finally beat the champ and found fire keeper eyes in the next area.
so I went to the fire keeper and gave her eyes since it was an option now shes saying so I wish to see the end of fire and something about visions of the apocalypse
will this choice matter? will it lock me to the evil ending?

in DaS2 guardbreak actually broke their guard.

Even the pve got fucked by this desu senpai.
In 1 and 2 I loved that you could dodge too early, then actually suffer recovery and realize you've dun goof'd as you saw a swing fall down to demolish you.
Now it's basically a blur of attacks that you vaguely time your rolls to, and with the token stamina cost there's no real punishment for roll spamming with most bosses.

I didn't expect every boss to be Raime but they could've done better than they did even under the new speed.
