How's it going? I'm back to review Rexaura, a Portal mod as developed by Bejamin Bryant AKA Mevious.

This mod is a sequel to Mevious's previous title, Portal Pro, and takes the standard route of putting you in the shoes of a test subject and having them go through test after test while listening to quips from this mod's version of GLaDOS and the Announcer as Ellen McLaine is expensive dammit.

The main aspect of Rexaura is harder puzzles with an emphasis on energy pellets. The mod adds a slew of puzzle elements including green pellets that don't deplete, cube holders that can redirect pellets, switch-fields that activate by having pellets pass through, and pellet emancipation orbs because you gotta have obstacles. The store page says "Rexaura is designed for those who have completed Portal. The puzzles are intended to be challenging to solve but easy to execute once you know the solution." and I'm not inclined to disagree. The challenge is derived from tough brainteasers and not from being thrown into a pellet-based bullet hell. It does it quite well with chambers that are designed in a manner that feels like Portal made from a nearby alternate universe and I rather like it. If you want some more Portal puzzling action that requires plenty of thinking (or maybe I'm just dumb, it's fifty-fifty) with some well-written dialogue that feels like it was cut from the original game then look no further than Rexaura.

Finally killed that bitch at the end of the Hall of Champions in Valdis story and I barely squeaked by.

Really taught me to use my magic attacks though. Before, I've mainly just been using physical attacks (dumped all my ability points into the offense skill tree, and then the leftovers into the defense skill tree) and the only time I used magic was to heal.

But when I tried using the dark element attack that summons little swords to do extra damage when you score a crit hit (and I put all stat points into agi so Reina is a crit machine) it builds up the focus bar super duper fast.

Took me like three days to beat that boss. Feels good man.

I think I can go fight the final boss now, but i wanna explore and see if I missed out on anything.

I wish this game had a world map instead of just a map for the section you're at.

Is there any remotely comfortable way to play platformers on a keyboard? Holy shit, this is terrible, I'm taking HUGE damage from early game enemies because roll is in a ridiculous place and I keep getting the keys for jump and attack mixed up.

It depends. The main characters in Lisa are largely shaped by their experiences and surroundings. If there was tumblr, that means there was no apocalypse, and Brad wouldn't have a reason for keeping Buddy locked up in a hole in the ground since there wouldn't be gangs of murderers and rapists running around all over the place.

He might not even have been able to keep Buddy at all, since he'd be more likely to be convinced to call the police and turn her into child services. Or he might not find her at all since Yado would have no reason to leave her for Brad to find.

So Buddy would probably grow up to be a somewhat more normal girl, although she might be introverted or suffer in her schoolwork depending on if she lived with a mad scientist or a junkie with survivor's guilt.

If the scenario was regular Olathe, except everyone somehow had internet access, Buddy's tumblr would probably be filled with her amateur art, and selfies she took of herself with various warlords and perverts she had slain. She'd probably have to disable her ask box because it'd be filled with rape threats, and other inappropriate comments.
