Ton of targets for it in the meta. From the top of my head: Imp Gang Boss, Councilman, Trogg and Wyrm if youre fast enough, all the tokens and totems, Flamewaker, Doomsayer, Brann, the Cthun 2 drops, Knife Juggler etc

Because I don't want Doomsayers to fuck my shit up. Even the single master of evolution I am using is under strict custody and I try to avoid evolving totems or popped squires as much as possible. It seems to me that Doomsayer have a way higher chance to pop out that he should have.

No, good curve including 4 and 5 drops at least, with a mindset to take the game during the midgame. Fire elementals in there would probably helps as-well.

Drakes are still fine as a general purpose 5 drop. sadly it looks like the only viable one. Maybe Tiger for Hunter or budget lists but that's it.
