One of my friends says he can't invade, can't be summoned, but can see messages in his world. He said it happened before and lasted a few days until it fixed itself, but happened again recently.

He says he's using vanilla DS3 with no mods or tweaks and hasn't gotten the invalid data message. Does any of that sound like being softbanned? I told him to try family sharing the game to see if that fixes it.

What are your favorite STR weapons, /dsg/? I can't decide between STR and quality because a lot of weapons that seem like they should be STR are better with a quality build. Are the clubs any good in DaS3?

Thinking of making pic related because of the Sellsword helmet. I could go hollow to simulate the burns I guess, and use resins to catch my sword on fire. Shouldn't be too hard to find armor that's acceptable, but I haven't used any of the katanas. Chaos Blade seems like it suits the cosplay but is the Uchi better for actual combat?

They have interviews talking about them having been trying to make a goo boss since DeS. Every single time it's put on the table, it either gets shot down due to technical limitations, or scrapped during development because of technical issues. They consider the goo boss to be one of the longest standing unsolved challenges of their studio.

Which makes it pretty clear what happened. They were seemingly so confident that they would finally be able to tackle the goo boss concept with next gen systems as their development platforms that they wove the concept right into the heart of DaS3's design concept. So, when it inevitably failed on the technical level and had to be abandoned, they already had Aldrich written in as a character and were stuck trying to make this idea of a goo character somehow work without being a goo boss. The result was a Cathedral of the Deep that's blatantly designed for something different than what its purpose ended up being and Anor Londo being thrown in as a half-baked throwback to segue into a lazy Gwyndolin throwback that's literally easier than the Crystal Sage.

So is that giant at the top of the tower Gough or what? I don't remember anything mentioning him except for his bow being there just because.

Is it the level of the weapon I'm holding that affects who I can invade, or the highest levelled weapon in my inventory? If the latter, can I put my +10 weapons in my storage box so that I can invade people who aren't in that sort of range?
