It won't die to Overwatch. They scratch different itches. Dirty Bomb will remain totally unscathed. The competitive scene is already dormant, so it's not like Overwatch took all of our top players.
It's more about aiming and tracking than Overwatch is, so people consider Dirty Bomb to be the more aim based shooter. Which is true, but that doesn't mean that Dirty Bomb takes more skill than Overwatch. Just requires different types of play.

Dirty Bomb is pretty much the ultimate tracking based shooter right now. What other game out there has this long TTK with fast paced movement and accurate weapons, which also pretty much demands that the player gets consistent headshots, and not just one or two?

As someone who played 45 hours in the last beta of overwatch, and 600 hours on DB, this game hits a completely different niche.
I will end up playing both, pubbing this game whilst playing overwatch when im in a group.
The impact you can have on a pub game of Overwatch has nothing in comparison to getting 18k being the only sparks healer.

I'm with this user when it comes to OW. Until I get good enough with spidercheeks to fuck over the enemy team in pubs I'll stick to DB when it comes to running solo.
At least one other person is all it takes to make an OW pub worth playing, but playing alone is just fucking awful, especially when other groups are in the server.
