There's two new things. First, tooltips! Pretty self-explanatory. I'm not gonna add them everywhere, just where things might be confusing. The second thing is context-based options. If you select 'writing', 'editing', 'visual art', or 'programming' you'll get options specific to those skills. I just haven't got around to the other skills yet.
It's not completely final, but this should give you an idea of how the search will work with these new options. The search still works, but the new options are cosmetic only for now. Also, the above link is to the beta site—use the www if you wanna add yourself to the mailing list or reserve a handle.

It's in beta. It's bought by people who are his dedicated fans and like his games. It's not that surprising that the people who've bought it so far like it, and doesn't mean that it's amazing.
Considering he has different writers hired for each game I have no fucking idea what the writing is like, but:

They're also overcrowded with big AAA releases. Besides, April is the worst month and we're through that.
Releasing in June-July is tough because there's the spectre of "when will the steam sale hit" that keeps people from buying things, but May isn't so bad.

Why not just write a twine game?
April is one of the better months because USA tax returns are all accounted for and people love to spend their refund. November is the worst with AAA releases almost back to back, and May this year has been full of bigger AAA titles of the year and a flood of indies. June has historically been a deadzone for AAA games because they know people go on vacation and are away from social media, but that probably doesn't pertain to weebs.
There will probably never be an ideal time to release for VN.
I found the sketches really cute but it somehow lost it once coloured. Looks lazy in places like they have no idea what they're doing.

Good thing VN don't compete with AAA games and can release fucking whenever. People who are major fans of VN, would always be on top of what's releasing, so it's no problem for when a VN is released as long as it's not like 3 years+ from now.
