It's still corrupting data and I suspect it's not simply bad magnetization, I saw the symptoms of mechanical failure. S.M.A.R.T. wasn't tripped yet despite the few bad sectors. Quite strange since the hard drive has less than two years but hey, that's why they have a yearly failure chance.

No loss of data, problem solved. I will get back to modding later today or tomorrow. I'm still trying to approach the under supply - over supply problem early and late game and increasing slavery increasingly seems like a viable solution. That and/or reduce serf needs, which would have a similar result to increased slavery: reduced need for some basic goods that would come back late game, though that will do little to the oversupply problem.

I will probably work on solving the US event spam while I think about it.
