How greatly were sns and bow buffed in MHX? I've been trying to get into sns on 4u and mained bow in 3U but they've always seemed a little weaker than some of the other options available unless you got really good with them.

Don't commit too hard if you don't know the monster yet. If you feel you're in a sticky situation, just spam demon dash away. Also tail spins style attacks are really easy to dash through.
Go for spin2win on heads as much as possible, but you'll have to hit legs a lot still.
Don't worry too much about carting, you have 3 tries, might as well use them, espacially early when you don't have an optimal skillset.

That is... one way to interpret it. In practice, just pick whatever fiendishly high raw damage bow is meta and use that. In 4U is was Kama, in Generations it'll be the Teo bow.

I actually Dung Bombed the Seltas to try and get rid of Raj, but got totally thrashed. The second time I was in the middle of a mount. He appeared mid-mount and by the time I dismounted he was already beaming me.

I'm familiar enough with Rajang as I solo Lance'd him to farm horns in HR, but this spazzin motherfucking monkey I just met is definetely not what I fought before.

G3 and about to start using HBG. i'm a bow main, but i never used any other ranged weps.

threw this set together to scrub around G1-3 while i learn the wep:

recoil down + 1

pierce up
with 9 extra slots not including weapon slots.

am i on the right track here?

Don't need both Normal and Pierce up, and you probably don't need recoil down.

oh, i was going to use the agna scorpion with limiter removed, which i was told can utilize both shots well. doesnt recoil need to be at low to spam pierce shots?

I've been maining HH this time around, and am wondering what's the best sort of armor combo... I know Maestro is a must have, but I'm trying to figure out which armor goes with what to make the best set possible for G-rank. Can anyone give me any pointers?

Agna Scorpion has "Some" recoil, you don't need Recoil Down on it.

I picked up hunting horn last night and made a dope ass set for it. Too bad I suck with the weapon. I'm not carting since I play every other weapon except the lances and the hunting horn has incredible mobility. I just can't memorize these songs and when the pressure is on in the middle of a battle my mind draws a blank and can't remember any of them except self improvement. I find myself just hitting the monster and playing a song if I just happen to land on a correct note sequence.

SNS has some good hunting arts and some new weapon oil buffs exclusive to it. They're items you use that last a certain amount of time but you have to buy them from the shop, they're not like wystones. One of them is exhaust oil which lets you KO with normal slash attacks. One increases your affinity by a lot. One gives mind's eye and the last gives partbreaker.

Memorise them as button combos, not colours. Some horns have orange on a and others on x+a and shit like that anyway. If you really have trouble try a melody extender horn. They get AUL, the most potent song, knockback res, good for your lances and snses, and melody extender, which is x+a-a-x+a and by playing it you never have to play the other two after the first time unless someone carts, just play that one easy to memorise one.
