Read guides and shit about your class, then farm Otherverse to get the chron set you need (Chron2 drops on the three dungeons on the left side, Chron3 drops on the three last ones). You will figure out the rest by yourself.

No, you can solo everything (considering that you/your class isn't a piece of shit), you just need to get enough chron gear to hit the exo requirement (stat that you get from chron items). You get one ring for free from the side quests (+10 exo, enough to enter normal/single mode), but if you somehow lost it (or skipped the quests because of Seria's Welcome Back effect), you can buy shitty Chron1 gear with chaos stones.
You also can solo all feat quests and get most titles by yourself ("cannot be completed in Single mode" means "Expert or higher").

Nope you can solo otherverse now, just need to do enough normals to have exo for the higher difficulties to get your set pieces. Its still easier to party and iirc duos are still the optimal OV group but going solo is fine.
