How to edit the core sector planet limit?

If I save an empire type will it show up as an AI opponent in later games?

Yes, but you can turn it off.

Should I put Point Defenses on my Destroyers or go all-big-guns?

There is a button next to the empire to enable/disable/force that.

We need more race mods.

So I just fucked over my first Empire and completely annexed them, however every single pop has 5% happiness or lower and I have 2 different rebellion groups trying to fuck me up. How can I stop this?

I wonder do the extra modules on battleships stack or not?
like if you had enough of them could you completely shut down enemy FTL or wreck their shields completely?

>discover early space age civilization
>study it for a while
>decide to subvert it and integrate them into my empire
>constant setbacks slowing progress
>one of my operatives goes rogue
>mission to kill him
>the world is on the verge of nuclear war
>sending my ships to stop this madness
>nuclear war erupts before I get there
>becomes a tomb world

JUST

>Flogged the shit out of the unbidden because tachyon lasers
>Immediately after the portal goes down neighboring fallen empire got pissed that I saved the entire galaxy on my little lonesome.
>They warp right to the homeworld
>Fleet is quarter of the galaxy away
Y-you too

pirate it

Early game? Big guns. Late game? Point defence. Once you get battleships destroyers can act more as a screen while the battleships blow apart everything from long range.

How does your empire being big affects your research speed ?

is this game worth it in its current form or should I wait?

Here are my options and what I want to buy soon but can only pick 1 I guess.

Overwatch
Stellaris
Doom
Warhammer Total War

help.

from other thread. Help me. ONe guy said warhmmaer which is what I am leaning towards

So I just looked at the victory conditions for the game and it seems like there's no way of winning through Diplomacy?

More labs = more lerning

buy overwatch, pirate stellaris i m o f a m

But some people on the precedent thread said that big empires SLOWS your research speed.

overall i give it 9/10 it's pretty fucking dull

defines

Doom, wait a year for all the DLC for stellaris to release before you buy it

It's not a finished game, a ton of stuff is missing.

Ok
Do point defences benefit the other ships too or they shoot down only the missiles designated for the ship that carries them?

"Stop calling me Jaru, it's oppressive, I identify as Heejam-kin".

anons who are playing MP games... what are you guys finding are good galaxy settings for smaller like 8-16 people? Or what have you had the most fun with so far?

The game clearly needs AI's to function well though the AI is nowhere near good enough.

>when you learn that th best way to cheese single player is so simply declare war on everyone, enslave them because lolnorebellions and then blob with your infinite minerals before anyone even had a chance of developing

now only multiplayer can save me, and even then that is the best minimax build for early and late game

Considering how spastic the targeting is I haven't been able to tell.
Fuken Checked.

Why are my synths so unhappy all the time???

are they slaves?

kek

>Win a war by miles
>Form Protectorate on new alien race
>Gain two planets
>Both species hate me and one starts a terrorist faction

Why does this game hate you fucking winning? And why can't I glass a damned planet?

Fucking furries

What the fuck is that planet limit? Every empire near me has 10+ planes and shit tons of army while i dont want to bypass planet limit, its still 5 and people fuck my shit up.

Should i ignore planet limit and colonize as i can or just try to manage things with 5 planet?

Also what is bad side of passing planet limit and how to increase it without cheating?

nope.

i even gave them their own planet so unhappy

look at their happiness modifiers then, the fuck am I supposed to know?

Can't you colonize worlds with robots even if you can't colonize them with your race?

I can't load up my colony ships with robots.

i have two questions:

1: 100 warscore is pretty low when declaring war. i can't even ask half of the my neighbor s planets with 100 warcrore limit. do i have to fight consecutive wars or is there a way to increase this shit?(cheat or changing game files accepted)
also why i can't ask a direct annexation?

2: research is soo fucking slow. 70 months? 100 months? and i am "mining" all possible science in my borders. how to research faster?(all 3 of my scientists 5 stars)

...

My sensor range is a paw print!

it's about direct control. You have a 5 (improved with tech) hard cap on the number of planets you can directly manage, after which you suffer penalties.

Throw the excess ones into sectors and you'll be dandy

I meant that the AI knows EXACTLY how many ships you have. If you have 9 and they have 10 they know and declare war, even if the screen says "equivalent". It's really fucking annoying and what I meant by "BUY THE DLC" is that in the inevitable espionage DLC you'll be able to know their exact numbers.

>Not being xenophobe so you can immediately genocide the population
That's what I've been doing
>Fight war
>Take planets
>Exterminate local population
>If my species can inhabit it send a colony ship to the empty planet
>If my species can't inhabit it send in some robots

Anyone feel like sharing this mod from the workshop?

steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=682291921

It's European phenotypes and names.

Is there any penalties to having powerful sectors?

1. dont be a lazy cunt mate several wars are fun. ask him for vassalisation and then merge your empire to his.

2. really mate. how far into the game are u?

Or their sensor range reaches your systems.

How im gonna throw excess ones into sectors? And i guess i didnt get what you mean by that

I heard you could do this, but I can't do it either. Do I need synths or droids instead of robots?

TECH_COST_MULT_NUM_POPS = 0.00, -- Each non-free Pop adds +X% tech cost
In defines, reduces tech tree time to a couple of hours.

ctrl f WAR_SCORE try lowering values for planets.

Exterminatus

get rekt stupid ayylmaos

Empire, make sector.

Can someone explain to me why can't I build the musoleum and what does that mean?

I wonder, what if there was a class of ships even beyond battleship but like significantly beyond it

like say 30+ fleet size 10k+ mineral costs and a special unique capitol class weapon slot for truly unique types of weapons

You guys should check this out:

unoosa.org/oosa/en/ourwork/spacelaw/treaties/introouterspacetreaty.html

It's our actual ethos regarding space faring.

tl;dr we are already intergalactic Swedes.

there's a button in your empire tab. It lets you make sectors, and add/remove star systems from sectors.

Sectors are still yours, but are managed by the ai, and you won't get reduce resources from them. They won't build a military though, so defence is up to you

Does your planetary output (like, minerals for instance) affect the speed of ship building at all? Or is it just the spaceport upgrades for specific ship types?

you can only build 1 mausoleum per rule

Could any kind user rip these mods from workshop and post em here.

>Find humans
Sweet, I'll bring them into my empire, raise them up.
>Go to make an alliance
>-1000 Difference in Power

Are you shitting me? Humans don't wanna join me because I'm strong? The hell for?

Is it acceptable to deconstruct mineral mining outposts by mid-game when you got maximum stock?

i do not want to cheat for research.

At what point do you decide to abandon your empire? I feel guilty (for some reason), I don't really see any potential for recovery though. The enemy has a couple of several thousand stacks and I have a single 500 that I managed to build after the initial lightning strike that wiped my defenses.
The only way to get out would be if the federation I'm on good terms with came to help, I don't see any option to ask for aid in exchange for becoming a vassal ect in the diplomacy though.

I'm about to start this game.

How do I make the most generic humans possible?
I'm thinking Materialist, Individualist and either Militarist or Xenophile with Direct Democracy or Science Directorate for government & ethics and Quick Learners, Weak and either Intelligent or Communal + 1 more for Traits would be as milquetoast generic as possible.

I've also read that you can't trust the AI with sectors? Is it possible to just not make sectors and manage your planets yourself?

>female leader by default

No. You'll want a steady supply of minerals all the time. If you hit the limit for how much your storage can hold then build and upgrade space ports in all systems.

I keep being maxed on minirals. wat do

mega.nz/#!p8dQGRCb!lb6AHAEINCdZRbsyoPPfFE1oiLTkMkYPsl9vc3oa5xU

>Quick Learners, Weak and either Intelligent or Communal
If anything humans are extremely adaptable. Seriously we would have no fucking problems colonizing any of the planet types. The other aliens probably suck at colonizing so much because half of them run around naked.

D-do I dear download their neural patterns anyway?

Oh right, thanks

Individualistic
Cost: -1
+20% ethics conformity
>-1
Epic joke.

Much love user.

Is there any game that succeeds at what Stellaris is trying to be?

Nice, now i have to restart my game cuz im little sissy fug boy around big empires.

do it faggot, what could possibly go wrong?

>cheat mods

I fail to see how any of this is bad.
Kill yourself you individualist cretin.

do it fgt

you can trust the ai with sectors but they won't develop the optimum set for buildings and resources

>no fun allowed

From what I heard that's also a bug.
The game is riddled with so many bugs it's not funny.

...

m8 the AI is already pants-on-head retarded, I don't think a tiny advantage like that should matter

>Fixing broken sectors
>Cheating

>trust the AI.
Horseshit, I left the AI in charge of one tiny sector and it did nothing but build food.

>integrating a one planet vassal takes 8 years and a constant influence drain
It'd be so much easier to just set them free and invade them, really dumb.

>cheat mods
Sectors and outposts are just retarded man

it's year 1 and a space amoeba is attacking my wormhole station

i have 3 corvettes

wat do

If you set them free you have to wait 10 years for the truce to wear off.

>1K stellaris thread and I havent even reseached tropical colonization

wew

>Having a vasal empire
>Not just invade their shit and assimilate

You have no one else to blame but you

How does Paradox expect to expand this game when it lags like fuck in vanilla?

Build another one

Do sectors actually build defensive stations? I've set them to military development and pumped them full of crystals and still not a single defence station

because of the sector governor who cant decide to settle pops

>Each technology has a cost to unlock, which must be paid for in research resources. The cost is the pre-set base cost of each technology multiplied by 2% for every pop in the empire over 10.

>multiplied by 2% for every pop in the empire over 10.

What's this for?

Could you do that for ?

Maybe you have a shit computer

sauce me i need zeon sluts
