What was Hearthstone's peak? The beta? Seems like Blizzard can only generate interest with their new games during that time and then everyone forgets about it. Heroes of the Storm, Hearthstone, Overwatch ...

Yeah, plenty. 2 Mana Tide and ancestral knowledge, AND drakes. That's a silly amount of card draw for a non-combo deck. So many dead draws.

All that overload with no troggs. Healazeal is just bad. Justicar would be better even. Totemcarver is completely outclassed by Flamewreathed. Never a reason to run her anymore.

I've found great results with Stormforged axe lately. Just one though.

Easily, /hsg/ was amazing then. After Blizzard actually nerfed a ton of cards the game was somewhat balanced too.

Naxx fucked things up and Blizzard realized they dont need to care about game balance to make money. So they stopped trying

I tried Duels to try it out. But the play was so slow due to the animations that take so fucking long. It's not like they're particularly interesting to watch, either. Made it hard to learn the game.
Not saying it's bad,I really wanted to enjoy it. I just couldn't be arsed to watch particle effects hit face for 10 seconds each.

I've got bad news for you, kid. All the "big names" that have played HS for years are unbelievably sick of it. Unless about a hundred new faces pop up with enthusiasm for the game it might as well be dead. The next botched expansion will bury Hearthstone.

Hearthstone might actually be dying due to the F2P nature. With every update new players come by asking if it's a good time to start playing, they're usually advised to not bother by older players.

It might as well be dead at this point. There is no way the subs are over 3.5 million. It's a crippled shadow of what it once was.

Not remotely anymore. And WoW was decent still in WotLK. It began a steady decline in Cataclysm and WoD was shit. Hearthstone is not a 10 year old game, though, and fills a much more casual market niche.

WoW is meant to be played hour upon hour; Hearthstone, a few games a day, competitive scene aside.
