Montblanc only gets force deployed in the very first stage. Also you should prioritize getting your speed stat up. After a while you start one shotting a lot of things so speed is the only important stat at the end.

Do most of your levels as Ninja, Hunter or Blue Mage. Get a Hunter and Blue Mage ASAP to capture Goblins and Thundrakes as well as learn Goblin Punch and Dragon Force. Hunter/Blue Mage is also a good combo.

Level up as Assassin (works fine with everyone) or Summoner (If you're too lazy to swap jobs everytime you need to level up a mage). Sniper is a filler job before you get Assassin.

Sage and Time Mage are your best choices for level ups. Don't bother with White Mages once you get White Wind and Angel Whisper for your Blue Mage.

Level up as Gladiator or Templar. Bishops and Dragoons are only good for Break and Jump respectively. White Monk is a nice early game filler class.

That said, just fought Odin for the first time today. Aside from the (fast) OHKO shit which punishes any move longer than a second or two if he decides to use, it was the most fun boss so far.

I remember when it was discovered in the discord that putting "Negate Death" on your set actually cancels Zantetsuken completely. Might be handy if you're a slow class or for the subspecies

Not sure what it is. Vivi's color scheme and overall design, Eiko's theme, any scene with Steiner in it, pretty much every ATE, the moogle sound, all the character interactions, all of them make me feel really glad somehow. Not even sure if it's nostalgia. Blurry backgrounds, windowed mode, and failed steal attempts can't take this feeling away either.

I'm really glad I can play this game again.

This is a wash answer, but I get that for FFVII even though it wasn't my first FF. It's just the one that grew on me the most. If I had to pick another it would be FFI on NES - never gets old for me. Still play it annually.

No it's a grinding game. You play a bit every day to get stronger and stronger.

Gonna be a long ways away at the current rate of dungeon releases.

From three actually. V, VI and VII. They feel right, sincere and benevolent at all times for lack of a better description. Natural happiness. I enjoy every second of each replay. There's also one other which makes me constantly smirk, but that's not at all the same.
